Great food. Second time here. Fish taco is great. This time we have fish and chips. Dog friendly patio (they have heaters for... cold evenings). A small bar with a handful of beers or draft. Read more

Phenomenal fresh delicious fish!!! Excellent draft beers and hard kombucha. The waitstaff are absolutely incredible and very... helpful on making decisions when ordering, especially for first timers. My friend had the fish and chips, I had the oysters, elote taco and pineapple express taco, and the BEST homemade onion rings outta this world!!! Oysters were super fresh andcleaned well!! Will definitely be coming back for more scrumptious fish!!! Read more

For the most part food was very good. Rice was hard and tasteless, veggies were without seasoning yuck. When I talked to the... management about the rice I was told it was supposed to be that way. YUCK!! So stay away from the rice and ask for the veggiesto be properly seasoned. Read more

Food was good, fish in fish taco was a little dry. The oysters were really good! Fast service and staff are friendly.

My wife and I had lunch today at Point Loma Fish Shop. A sign inside states that they were not a fast-food restaurant because... all orders were made fresh. I thought there would be a bit of a wait time but that was not the case. Our fish dishes weredelicious. Read more

being generous with 3 stars. leaning towards 2.5. significantly hit & miss. One meal was very enjoyable and one was distinctly... poor bordering on awful. Unique menu style here where about 10 or 12 different types of fish are available in multiplecooking/preparation options. Grilled, sandwiches, tacos, salads, plates. Also fried fish and chips and different styles ofseafood soups. The grilled fish is available with about 8 different marinades or seasonings. The side choices are prettystandard like fries, rings, salad, coleslaw, rice, etc. You pick a fish, a style, and a side on what they call the 1,2,3 Fishmenu. You can also pick some unique items from the Fish Shop Favorites list. After pondering the menu options my wife and I wentdifferent directions with our choices. She went with items from the More Fish Dishes section-a crab cake, cup of clam chowder, and side of coleslaw. My choices were a grilled fish taco with halibut, the TKO taco-mahi, Fish Shop seasoning, cilantro sauce, and tropical salsa. And I have a thing for ceviche so I added a small cup of mahi ceviche with chips. Last item was an order ofonion rings. The items my DW was served were the extreme miss?s here tonight. And she is not by any means a picky eater. Rarelyeven mentions issues. But her crabcake (made with snow crab I believe) had no flavor, seafood or other wise and was served lukewarm. Her slaw was an unpleasant wilted mess not worth the added cost at all, and her chowder had minimal clams and tasted likea floury roux more than anything else. We also felt like our onion rings were over cooked and most likely fried in oil thatshould have been changed some time ago. It was a jarring contrast when I began to eat my menu selections. Both tacos had theoption of corn or flour tortillas which I welcomed since flour is my preference but is available less often. The simple grilledhalibut taco was delicious with cabbage, pico, mixed cheese, and cilantro sauce. Fish was piping hot and mois Read more

I am very appreciative and give good reviews when it's due, but I cannot do that for this one. I ordered crab cakes and when I... took a bite, it was so salty. I told the waiter about it and all he did was go to the cook to tell them. When he came back hesaid the cook did not put salt in it. Did not even offer to change my order so I just did not eat it and it was pricey, $13 forone salty crab cake. I won't go back there again. Read more
