We happened to visit San Diego, and fortunately had dinner in Pista house, we fell in love with majority of the dishes like... Chicken bucket and Mutton family Biryani along with Chicken 65, Butter naans. Egg Masala and Biryani items are must try itemswith our group experience. Best Indian food in Mira Mesa. Their biryani and paneer are absolutely incredible. Pictured is their garlic naan (so good!) and... falooda (which comes with a scoop of ice cream) Their mango lassi is to die for as well, and I get it every time I go. Theirfood is a little pricy but they give huge portions (a plate of biryani lasts me two meals). After 4 years in US, I finally found the biryani "HEAVEN". The biryani is exactly how Hyderabadi should taste like. Amazingly... delicious ???? ????. Must try their pot biryani and goat biryani. Oh my god, that was amazing, we loved every single dish we ordered. The chicken tekka masala, peppered chicken, mutton kebab... and nizam chicken biryani, garlic naan and mango lassi we ordered were absolutely tasty and amazingly delicious. Tried this place for the first time yesterday and I can say with full confidence that the ambur biryani I tried transported me... back to my home state of Tamil Nadu in India. I don't usually post pics of takeout food because it's not so pretty after riding in my car and my lighting at home isn't great.... But I've been wanting to try Pista House @pistahousesandiego for awhile now, and Stephen generously picked some up for us whileI was at an appointment, so I had to share! These guys are located in the Mira Mesa mall, and judging from the reviews, theyare highly rated in an area that has a slew of Indian restaurants to compete with. They are a chain from India, and they alsohave a location in LA. Today we tried the keema biryani, spicy goat curry, cream stone chicken, and coconut masala shrimp. Wow! Don't know which is my favorite, they were all amazing. The keema biriyani is spiced rice with cubes of stewed lamb, andthe spicy flavors combined with creamy raita (yogurt sauce) is divine. The goat curry was so tender the meat just fell off thebone with just a poke from a spoon. The cream stone chicken was marinated in a creamy, peppery sauce and cooked in a tandoorwith a hint of smoke. And the shrimp- they give you a big portion of shrimp in a rich, creamy, sweet and slightly spicy sauce. All around hit for everything.
