Still during soft opening so their menu is limited. Seems like they offer all the ramen but only had 4 appetizers. We each got... our own bowl of #1 smoke bomb black ($16.95). Tonkotsu broth with black garlic sauce. This broth is everything! So butterycreamy and addicting. I never slurp broth unless it?s homemade and I was slurping away! We were able to pay separately and theyautomatically tap in 18% gratuity. Total came out to be $20.99. Quality was good but service felt rushed as they kept coming upto us as if they needed the table. We didn?t ask for the check but they came and stood there with the device for you to pay onthe spot. I have fallen in love with this place! I?m new to Japanese cuisine and this is my first ever ramen place. I didn?t go in with... any expectations and I was thoroughly satisfied! They have the soft menu currently, with limited items but it is absolutelydelicious. Loved the Spicy vegetarian Ramen! I?m surprised they have many vegetarian options here. First time here and it did not disappoint. Our server Kaley was really friendly. Service was fast. Food was brought out to us... fast. Absolutely incredible flavor and the noodles had just the right amount of chew. Very delicious. Can't wait to go back.Definitely a must when inthe area. Read more
FOOD & DRINKS The smoke bomb ramen was a nice flavor bomb. Ok, I wouldn?t go that far but it was very good. The broth could be a... little bit thicker but it was flavorful and had depth. SERVICE Service was friendly and lovely. ATMOSPHERE Please rememberthat they are still in the soft opening phase! That said, I don't have anything good to say about the decor or the atmosphere atthis time. It looks like an old small run down restaurant with no life or Japanese feel for aesthetics. This is a new location for an excellent Ramen house! Nishiki is known for flavorful Ramen, and also spicy ramen up to the level... of stupid-hot stunt food, all executed with care. The Mira Mesa location, at this writing in late April/early May 2022, is in"soft-opening". Operators of this franchise location just bought it out from a Chinese place that went under and are running therestaurant on a limited menu with limited hours for a few weeks before they shut it back down to refurbish, repaint and beautifythe location. So right now, it's a limited menu but includes the basics and the classics. They are very friendly, stoked to haveyou in their store, and working hard to ensure they produce up to the level of standards for a Nishiki Ramen. Parking in thislocation can be tricky, but there is another lot " behind it", one driveway away and which always has spaces. You can walkaround either the west or east side of the building to get to Nishiki if you need to use the secret parking. Read more
