Stopped for a quick bite after hanging out in Lake forest and San Juan Capistrano with my brother for the day. Delicious pizza... we got a few slides with a nice cold beer. Pizzeria is very clean and beautiful inside. You can eat at the counter while youwatch TV and check out how the delicious pizzas are getting made by hand or sit in the eating area listening to some good musicbut most of all the employees and Mike are awesome! On a recent visit, Google brought us here after attempting to go to another local Pizza spot that was too busy. My wife is not a... big Pizza fan, but she sure liked this spot. So much so, we came back twice! Mike and his team make you feel right at home assoon as you walk through the door. The food, drinks, music, and atmosphere are all on point. My gal and I were looking for some good eats from La Mesa all the way down El Cajon Blvd AND University and finally found... ourselves in Hillcrest where we stumbled upon this place. Food was fantastic. Not a thin crust guy myself but the crust on theirbuffalo chicken pizza was divine , as were their garlic knots. For two decent meals consisting of a slice and 6 knots , a sliceand an 8 inch sandwich (chicken ranch sandwich was SOOOO good!) and.2 drinks , I paid less than $20 bucks! The... wife and I stopped here on our way home by far the best choice we did since moving to Hillcrest. First off the staff was amazingJose was really great on welcoming you once you walk in. The wife and I looked at their menu before hand and knew what we wantedbut he convinced to get some garlic knots. By far the best Garlic knots we had and we are a serious pizza couple. They makeeverything by hand FRESH the dough for the pizza and even the garlic knots. We ended up getting a 18 inch half Whitestone/halfPBJ(Pepperoni, Bacon and Jalapeño) with a side of garlic knots. My wife use to work for this industry and she is veryparticular with her pizza and knots. By her judgement and mine (just simply someone that loves pizza) by far the best. Dough ismade fresh for al ingredients involved. Pizza was cooked to perfection and the knots. You can truly taste the LOVE in the food.They have beer on tap, bar sitting area with tvs and plenty of seating inside.
