First time to try Marufuku Ramen at the Sky Deck. The ambience made the experience more meaningful. It was a little crowded... probably because it was the last day of restaurant week. We tried their 4 course menu at $30 which included your choice of ramen????, an appetizer, matcha cheesecake and drink/beer of choice. Ramen was good, although I wasn't a fan of the thin noodles.Broth, however, was superb. Cheesecake was too sour, but the matcha ice cream ???? was simply delicious! Read more
The atmosphere of The Sky Box is amazing. Marufuku is such a yummy lunch and dinner spot. Service is SUPER fast and the ramen is... amazing. For dinner we got two different types of ramen, the Korean fried chicken, and drinks. The Sake experience here is sofun! They over pour the glass into cedar boxes which is supposed to make the Sake taste different. Overall and amazing dinneroption. Read more
Great option for ramen in Del Mar located towards the back of the SkyDeck. It?s definitely worth getting there early for the... chicken paitan dx. The smell alone is intoxicating. The veg ramen is hearty and not an afterthought, great flavors. The chasubowl was my favorite of the bowls. The takoyaki was also perfectly cooked and fresh. Read more
So happy that I got to try Marufuku Ramen. They provide the authentic Hakata-style Tonkotsu ramen. The best thing about their... ramen is the flavorful broth that it comes with and the fresh noodles they use. What we tried here- Chicken Paitan DX - thiscame with a sizzler chicken leg Vegetable Ramen Chicken Karaage Chicken Paitan DX (the delux version) comes with a chicken legon a sizzling plate. This dish is so special that it is LIMITED TO only 15 servings per day. Their service is outstandingtoo. I had spicy Hakata Tonkatsu DX and I may have found new favorite ramen restaurant in San Diego. It?s broth was smooth, creamy... but spiciness wasn?t enough for my palate. BTW you can select the spiciness. Chicken kararagge came out after I finished theramen (not good). It was good but I?m probably skip next time. One of the features we love from a good ramen place is the offer of Kae Dama! And guest what? Great atmosphere and decor, which is the most attractive point here. Tonkotsu noodles is the best they offer. The broth is... creamy, flavorful, and a hint of sweet after taste. Strongly recommend. Spicy tan tan noodles is a bit salty for me. Thenoodles is hard, and not as good as tonkotsu noodles. Gyoza, juicy and tasty, amazing. Karaage, crispy outside and juicyinside, seasoning is fine. Signature chicken paitai is kinda normal for this price. Kinda plain. In short a great place forgrabbing a quick meal. Read more
My first time to the Sky Deck and this wonderful ramen restaurant. It was a rainy windy day and this was the perfect scenario... for a hot ramen lunch. I chose the spicy ground chicken ramen and it was perfect! Very flavorful broth and ingredients. Draftbeer for $3.99. This lunch special is tough to beat. Service was great and friendly. Just go!
