Reviews for Liuyishou Hot Pot (San Diego) in San Diego, CA
Got the Medium spicy Liu’s House Special Soup Base and Chicken soup base. The flavor for the soup base was great, not too... heavy or light. The portion were huge, especially the meat. The meats were freshly sliced. My favorites were the lamb andpacific white prawn. The prawn is so fresh. Love the design of the meat platter that is put around the pot. Hotpot + fresh fruittea =????. Can’t wait to come back with my friends are try more things :) Read more
We visited the restaurant today. It was our first time...we were helped in Spanish by and server who was verrryyyy helpful,... respectful and had outstanding customer service. He made us feel comfortable, recommended different menu items and went as faras making different sauces mixes for us. I recommend getting the salad and sauce bar. 1/2 order of soup could easily feed 2-3people. Different sides: vegetales/noodles/rice etc.. are available at very reasonable prices ($3,$4) ... We ordered a $14basket with different vegetables. We got 1/2 order of spicy soup + 1/2 of non spicy soup. Great for sharing.. Also, theirspicy level 1 , is really level 1000! I normally eat spicy with no problem but the pepper balls add a different type of spice totheir spicy soup, making it rrrreeaaallly spicy. Restaurant has a big parking lot. I would strongly recommend trying thisplace. Read more
It was a hidden jewel in San Diego! With all the food options, my daughter and I carved for hotpot when we arrived in SD on our... road trip. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. It was definitely a bonus when Mrs Eva introduced her newaddition to the dessert! We will definitely come back if we are ever in the area. Read more
Super clean facilities, bathroom included. Service is great—our soup remained full the entire meal! Plating is very beautiful... as well, and the sauce and dessert bar is well stocked! Kind management and staff :) Read more

We ordered meat combo and vegetable combo, pretty good food and price is reasonable. When we told them it was our first time... here. She was very nice to give us a brief introduction. I like the dessert and fruits counter, all come with the $4.9 sauces/person (cannot remmember the exactly price) . They even gave us free gifts after dinner. There was no waiting time when we werethere. Read more
service was non-existent after we got seated, had to place our order at the front ourselves. got a little better afterwards but... they didn’t explain any of the process to us (sauce bar), we only found the long wooden chopsticks by the sauce bar after wefinished eating. broth is spicy but very flavorful! meat quality is good - angus ribeye was the best. some unique offalofferings (goose intestine, duck blood, aorta, etc). i’d skip the mushroom basket - too much cabbage. overall, if the servicecan improve and you don’t mind a little splurge ($50pp) over the ayce hotpots, liuyishou is worth a try.
