I ordered an oxtail dinner. It was by far the worst ever....???????????? The oxtail was 100% dehydrated and I only got 2 of... them...This dinner comes with Red beans and rice but there was only rice and 2 beans... SMH.. I got this plate to go and I amvery upset that I did not check it before I left. For 25+ dollars ( For a plate that used to be $15) it is not worth it atall... Go elsewhere!!! Read more
Absolutely so delicious! Laylahs has the best Jamaican food in town hands down! It?s not even close, the amount of food they... give you for the price is phenomenal! Customer service is always so great they go above and beyond to get your order completed.Owners are very kind with a great establishment. Definitely order here if you?re looking to have that same taste from back home.Beef Pattie?s are so good got a great crunch when you take a bite. Curry chicken is made to perfection well seasoned and puttogether! And the oxtail pizza is really good as well so creative to make a pizza like that but this is place to get it from!Dessert is also a must since the cakes are made fresh and to perfection. Walked up while they were grilling chicken right out front in the parking lot and it smelled so so good. When we walked in, the... restaurant was pretty small with only three tables. One of which had dishes on their from previous costumers and had sent beencleaned yet. It was pretty hot inside also given the size of the place, the kitchen didn?t have any exhaust so the heat juststayed inside. They opened the doors when they saw we all decided to sit in after ordering but this only attracted flies..:/ We ordered the oxtails, the jerk chicken and I got the jerk and fries. Oh and a beef patty! The oxtails were tender,perfectly cooked and nice flavor, the jerk chicken was also delicious, cooked perfectly! The jerk sauce was slightly sweet andpretty spicy. The beef patty was the delicious and so delicate and cooked perfectly with a flaky outer crust! The only problem Ihad was the jerk and fries.. which is why I?m giving four starts instead of five.. I was expecting a platter of fries withveggies and jerk chicken.. what I got was dried out chicken over a bed of soggy fries topped with lettuce, tomatoes slices andjerk sauce drizzled on top. It was so disappointing when I opened it up and more disappointing when I tried to eat it.. Iunderstand trying to expand your menus but this was not the answer.. It was a real let down. Awesome Jerk Chicken and Rice! I was going to the restaurant next door to get some chicken wings since it is Wing Wednesday but... I couldn't help but smell that jerk chicken being cooked on the charcoal grill in the parking lot! Change of plans... I wantsome Jerk! Small restaurant footprint but bold flavors. I ordered the Jerk Chicken Bowl and it comes with Rice & beans, cabbageand plantains. The Jerk Chicken starts out sweet and smokey then the heat follows at the back of your throat, the way it'ssupposed to be, flavorful, juicy and saucy. The rice was an excellent pairing. The cabbage missed the mark for me, once I sawthat there were peas in it then I knew I probably wouldn't enjoy it. All in all, I can't wait to return for more on the menu orto check out the daily specials. Not exactly fast food as the wait is about 10 minutes but very good value! Read more
