We were visiting San Diego from the Palm Springs area. There were 2 families in our group. We had to wait for 10-15 min before... we could be seated together. We considered leaving, so thankful we didn?t leave. Food was So Worth The Wait!! Waitress was onit. Food and drinks came out in a timely manner. The timing between appetizers and main course was perfect. They never tried torush us. We all had something different, and everyone was totally satisfied w taste and portion. We had the house appetizersampler, that set the standard for the tastes we were about to experience. I?m writing this review 24hours after we had dinnerand I so want to go back and have it again. Do yourself a favor and if necessary, wait a few min and delight yourself w amazingflavors and top notch service. Read more

I have tried two appetizers and two entrées. I?ll start with the Tom Yum. The broth had excellent taste and delicious flavor.... It was well balanced between spice and sweetness. I also tried the Sa-Tay. The chicken was well seasoned and had delicioustexture. Combined with the cucumber dip and peanut sauce, it was a well executed combinational dish. Next, I tasted theentrées. The Thai Basil Wok had excellent taste and good flavor. The chicken was slightly over cooked, but the marinate made upfor it. Finally, I tried the Power Fried Rice. I asked for 7 out of 10 level spice, but tasted more like 4 out of 10. The dishwas also over sweet. It tasted like it was cooked in maple syrup. Despite that, the chicken had terrific texture and greattaste. If I had to pick a favorite, it would be the Sa-tay. For it?s delicious, juicy, and well seasoned chicken. Read more

I give it 4-star just because I have a special feeling of Thai food and Thai people. Look at the picture, will you buy such a... small box with so many broken noodles for $16.16? I did. That night, Lara was tirelessly preparing her final the next day andeven didn't have time to go out for a dinner. We had some leftovers from the lunch but not enough, I decided to buy sometakeaway and googled this Thai restaurant. It's only 0.4 mile away, I walked there after ordering through the phone. Therestaurant is in the middle of a bunch of car dealers, with a bright yellow lightbox outside labeled the logo. The restaurantlooks ethnic, authentic, and decent. It has a big sculpture of two Thai welcoming at the gate, has four wooden buddha's hands onthe wall, a wooden time of wheel on another wall, and a wooden sculpture of a group of gods and goddesses on the other wall. The entire dining room looks very Thai and fashion style. I got my food and walked back, besides the lunchbox, it's only onepair of chopsticks in the bag. Even no tissues at all. I ordered the Pad Kee Mao, which was a stir-fried flat rice noodle dish.I have to say the taste was good, but not surprisingly good. It's too spicy as a 5/10 spicy level. The portion was too small, and too many broken noodles. The squid was too soft without texture. The renovation for the dining room is worth 5-star and thefood can only get 3. Read more

This restaurant is in a nice area with parking in a lot or on street not very far away. The staff here are so kind and... accommodating. I'm a particular eater, I wanted veggies, egg, rice noodles (See-Ew) but with the Kee-Mao (spicy chili sauce*drunken) instead of the sweet soy sauce. The waitress was completely cool with this request, no concern, confusion or contempt. My dinner was AMAZING, just the way I wanted it. Thank you Lanna Thai for a great dinner. Read more
