Reviews for Knotty Barrel in San Diego, CA
The quality is fine but not more than that. The drinks were not good enough, although expensive. The menu was limited as well.
The Knotty Barrel is a Penn State bar. They host alumni for Saturday games. There's a lot of friendly service, great beer and... great food. I had a great time watching today's game. Read more
A fun sports bar with consistently great food! I've been here many times and would go just for the food even if not drinking. I... love coming here when I want to avoid the super packed bars in the gaslamp district, but still want the energy of a sports barwhile watching a game. They also have their own brewery next door, and serve some of the beer that they brew there at the bar.Staff is always friendly. Highly recommend! Read more
This is a good, small brewery spot in downtown San Diego that serves their own beer asking with beer from other breweries. And... they have a good Monday beer-and-burger special They may have a limited selection of beer they better themselves, but the beeris did Read more
We love this place! It's a perfect spot to eat and have some drinks before a Padres game, and only a short walk to the stadium!... The food is delicious and the drinks are super yummy too! Our kids love the chicken strips, the shoestring fries are amazing andus adults love the ahi poke and ahi salad! They have shuffle board and an outdoor patio in the back with cornhole, so it issuper family friendly and perfect for bringing our kiddos! Definitely recommend!! Read more
Knotty Barrel’s is a fun place to meet friends and family. It has a large interior and a nice sized patio for those who want... to dine outside. On my visit I enjoyed Chimay beer as well as a Pliny the elder. Only a place that is truly committed to beerwould have them on the menu. This place will be a place I frequently visit for sure. It’s close to the Padres stadium whichmakes it good for a pre or post game drink. Read more
We came here for a food tour. The flights of beer were good. I tried a slushie which is a drink that changes (not sure how... often) but this one was a grasshopper. It was pretty good. We also got the fried cauliflower which was very good. The atmospherewas very nice, we sat outside with the fire pits and had a good time. Staff was friendly and service was quick. Read more
As a NY Giants fan I'm a tad biased, but only because this place is G-Men FAN-tastic during football season ???????? The food is... delicious, the drinks stay filled (whether coffee, water, soda or adult-bevs ????) because the wait staff and bartenders areAWESOME (attentive AND nice!)...and...the fan-friends-family make it so worthwhile and fun. Stephanie and Tommy are solid peoplewho make it feel like "home for football season." Read more
