I walked to this little coffee shop from the zoo, which was about a twenty-minute walk but well worth it. Seth, the barista,... was fantastic. He was friendly and made me feel like a regular. I got an iced mocha and a Feta 2, based on his recommendation.It's actually a vegetarian sandwich and was delicious and easy large enough that after eating half I was full. The Feta 2contains: Hummus, feta, sliced red onion, cucumber, tomato, mixed greens served on focaccia. There is lots of seating, the foodtastes great, and the coffee was delicious. I went for a breakfast, only bagel menu was available. I ordered a cappuccino and spicy vegan as recommended by the staff. The... cappucino was extremely bitter. Fortunately, the staff (a different individual) was friendly and exchanged for a chai latteinstead. I was crying, sniffing and sweating eating the spicy vegan bagel. I eat spicy, usually can handle a medium spicy orspicy at Thai restaurants but this bagel is Thai-spicy level. Read more
Don?t come if you are looking for something quick. Place only had two people ordering breakfast in front of me. Took 15 mins for... them to make a bagel with eggs and bacon. Barista also was petting a dog then never washed her hands. Chai tasted good. Read more
This is my favorite little local coffee shop in Little Italy. Each time I visit, it's nice to know that the baristas there know... me and can even complete my order as I start to say it. To give you an example of the vibe here, I went in a few weeks ago andthey accidentally forgot to bring out my drink with food because they were slammed inside. I've been slowly moving to a newplace since then, so I hadn't been in like 3-weeks - but I normally went at least once a week. Anyway, the woman at theregister gave me a complimentary cookie because she remembered that the last time I was there, my drink came out super late. Iguess it happened on her watch, and she felt a little guilty - but she totally didn't have to, and I was really touched by thegesture. I've never had anything like that happen at a certain major coffee chain (you know the one) -- not knocking them, butI just don't get that level of treatment there. Anyway, this is an amazing spot -- good drinks, good food, good people, goodvibes. Check it out if you haven't already. I may bump into you on occasion there because even though I've moved to a newneighborhood - I still plan to hit up Influx if I'm in Little Italy during their business hours. Read more
Awesome coffee shop! Friendly service and great coffee! Found this "best coffee shop" when I was stayed at a hotel nearby... Little Italy I saw the good reviews decided to give it a shot rather than Starbucks and I sure wasn't disappointed great serviceextremely friendly an even better coffee they put it all together for you before giving it to you also when I came back an houror so later because it was so awesome they gave me a cheap refill that was a shock! I visited this cute little coffee shop in morning, during my visit to San Diego. I had some time in my hand, and had some work... to finish. So I decided to sit in this cafe with a big cup of mocha, a muffin and a bagel with cream cheese. The morningbreakfast in this place was fine. The coffee was good, the cake/ muffin was even better. The bagel was usual. The staff isfriendly, and the place is quite popular. The cafe was extremely busy while I was sitting there. Everything is good, only thewashroom is not inside the cafe. If you need to use it, ask the cafe staff and they will direct you there. The cafe wifi wasenough good for me to work good. I highly recommend the place. Read more
