My husband and a friend of ours were just there yesterday (9/3/22) for lunch after paddle boarding at Liberty Station. We had... heard good things about this place and were anxious to try it. We each had a 2 scoop bowl with rice/salad and the total was $60+(no alcohol). None of us finished our food because the fish - salmon and ahi were NOT fresh but instead, had a mushy texture. Wewere so turned off from the texture that it was not edible. Normally, poké ahi or salmon is served in square chunks. What wewere served was mushy fish pieces. We were disappointed and will never be back after that experience. No discount or refundneeded for next visit because I won?t be revisiting. Read more

Yellowtail was amazing. They didn?t have any non-spicy ahi which I found odd. The proportions were a bit skimpy, but maybe that... was the server. Got a medium bowl and dole whip and a tip for $25. A bit steep for lunch but the yellowtail was worth it. Read more
The HFS up in Mira Mesa has been hands-down my favorite poke place in San Diego, so glad they opened up a second location closer... to me and with longer hours!!!!! You can opt for 1, 2 or 3 scoops with rice or salad. The shoyu ahi is my favorite and I get itevery time, along with a type of salmon depending on the day. Menu is slightly different compared to the original location withobvious reasons. They don't sell fresh fish by the pound, sashimi / mac salad, hot food like musubi. But they do have mochiicecream and dole whip! Friendly staff, clean location, and plenty of outdoor seating! Edit: Their hours have shifted and nowclose at 6pm instead of 7pm. ????
