Reviews for Gyu-Kaku Japanese BBQ in San Diego, CA
Fantastic place to eat in SD! Went with a couple of friends and had the all you can eat option, needless to say we were stuffed!... The meat was fantastic and our server was really good. The parking spots were also good! Read more
It's clean indoors. Good sauce but I don't like too sweet in marinated beef and cut too small. I know you guys love Korean BBQ,... in my opinion, I feel like we eat spices. So I love a big slice with less sauce, so this place is not to my taste. The restroomsmelled bad, they should give the separator for sauces. Read more
I would eat this everyday if I could. On my last trip to San Diego I went twice! The table side hit sauce is also great!
I enjoyed the dining experience here. It was more expensive than expected, but high quality. Well -seasoned foods... all-around. The big difference from Korean BBQ is that it's not all-you-can-eat (maybe that means higher quality meats, I'm notsure). The service was very good. The music could be heard from the kitchen, which clashed with the dining room music, but wedidn't mind that too much. Good experience overall. Read more
We went here for our anniversary dinner. It was a nice atmosphere. We got the option 1 and ordered several sides really tasty.... Even the veggies were good grilled and each portion of meat was quality. Read more
Went here and only ordered the small plates. All the food was delicious! We were least impressed by the black pepper wings, but... it could have been because we ate them last and everything else was so delicious! We ordered (left to right) the Spicy MisoEdamame, Spicy Cabbage Salad, Steamed Chili Dumplings, Spicy Tuna Volcano, Garlic Fried Rice and Black Pepper Wings (notpictured). Read more
We went here for dinner to celebrate my birthday. This is the first time since the pandemic that we came back. The staff were... very safety conscious. We were a party of 4 adults. We bought the BBQ course for 3 people and it was a lot of food. We wereall full. Highly recommend especially for special occasions since it was fun and food is delicious. Read more
A great place with great service. Our servers name was Kyle and we got the two most expensive all you can eat plans, Kyle... didn't waste any time when we needed something as there is a 90 min limit on the all you can eat. The food was amazing, Garlicnoodles, Gyoza and the spring rolls were all some of the best I've ever had. The meat they bring for you to cook is top notch,I can confidently say that the seasoned pork, tongue and duck were the best quality I've ever had. If you can foot a bit of apricey bill, this place is well worth it if you get the all you can eat plans. I will be returning for any occasion I can makean excuse for spending a bit of money. Read more
