I had my wedding reception here and--wow!! What an incredible experience!! When selecting our venue, we met with Alan (the... owner) who was really friendly and straightforward with information. Once we had our initial quote and paid the deposit, weworked with Anna (the event manager), who was wonderful every step of the way. There are of course a ton of little details thatgo into this type of event, but they really made it all come together and the day-of was fantastic. The weekend of our event wasa hurricane (in San Diego lol), but they were super proactive about alternatives and options, and we ended up staying dry and itall went well. The staff was super friendly and helpful, and the food was delicious. We got tons of compliments on thevenue/live-edge tables/gorgeous plants, food, and drinks from our guests. Aside from all the choices that go into weddingplanning which are inherently stressful, they made it really easy by being all-inclusive. Read more

I attended a wedding reception at FruitCraft and couldn’t believe what a beautiful space it was! The great, open space has... several areas for gathering inside as well as outside. Tucked away in a corner of Hillcrest, this venue is an oasis right in theheart of the city. There are several spots for unique photo opportunities and the entire venue is so Instagrammable! Cheers toany happy couple looking to book this venue for their reception! You’ll love it! Read more

If I could live my wedding day over and over I totally would because I actually got to enjoy it! FruitCraft is literally the... perfect place for a wedding - pretty plant decor, neon lights & modern feel to the space with great food (we had the vegan tacobar) and delish drinks (mules all night) ! We had our ceremony & reception there for 90 guests. Everything was easy from bookingwith Alan to Anna making sure we had what we needed for the food, drinks, cake, timeline, dj, table decor, ceremony backdrop, and coordinator. We used all of their vendors which was super simple because Anna kept in contact with them for us. Anna wasalso there at the wedding and was always ready to help. Our guests kept raving about everything and the music was soo good! Idefinitely recommend FruitCraft and their vendors if you want a no fuss gorgeous wedding! Read more

Hello All, I am a professional wedding DJ here in San Diego and I can honestly say, I LOVE performing here at Fruit Craft!... . First thing I will say is the venue has a nice modern rustic feel with locations for ceremony, cocktail and reception. Moreso for smaller wedding receptions this place venue is perfect! Also, the staff are very nice and accommodating when I am therefor an event. Now, I do not drink but from what my past clients have told me is they specialize in hard ciders, Kombucha andseltzers and that also seems to be a favorite with the guests while in attendance over just beer. I have also had nothing butpositive responses form not only my brides and grooms but also the guests as well. And when you have that, you have a prettyspecial place and a venue I enjoy returning to. Cheers, DJ Pat (Owner) Sound Prodigy Read more

While our actual wedding day was beautiful and the food was great, there were MANY issues and concerns I had leading up and on... the wedding day. The four emails I sent with questions took at minimum a 72+ hour response turnaround time. Anna, the venuecoordinator, was curt via email and unwilling to compromise with my wedding planner, our mariachi band or our DJ. We wereallotted 60 minutes of setup time, which according to wedding standards is unusually short. When my planner arrived, Anna deniedher access to drop off items while they parked. Requesting to enter 15 minutes earlier, we were told would be a $500 addition, albeit the venue being empty as our was the only event on that day. Any inquiry or request was met with a rude response fromAnna. We had a mariachi band for the cocktail hour- from 6-7pm. Anna wouldn’t allow the band outdoors to play for ourrecession, and refused to open the garage door to add additional air flow. Her reasoning for this was a noise ordinance, howeverSan Diego’s noise ordinance begins at 10pm and in Hillcrest there is plenty of music to be heard outdoors. We had tequilafavors which were near the exit and meant to be taken as guests left. Anna removed them, without notice, and began dumping outfavors she deemed as ‘opened’. When asked about it, she lied to my face and claimed “ I don’t have time for that”.Anna’s decision to move the favors so guest wouldn’t consume them during the reception was fine. However, this was expensivetequila and the disposal of the bottles was uncalled for and the lying indefensible. As I said the venue is gorgeous, there’sno question about that. However Anna’s professionalism, demeanor, communication, and customer service were severely lacking.Working with Anna was largely disappointing and frustrating. Considering she is the only point person to work with, this was ahuge downfall of our wedding experience. Read more

If you haven't tried Fruitcraft yet, you really should. The atmosphere is fun and friendly, and the drinks are awesomely... delicious. You'll get a brain freeze from the frosé, and you'll find a bubbly cranberry drink that feels like Thanksgiving in aglass. Service is great, and the drinks are great, so why not five stars? It's the food. Skip the food. The bruschetta islightly toasted bread slices served with a cup of what looks like salsa. Disappointing presentation and not especially fantasticin flavor. So, go for the drinks. Stay for the atmosphere. But don't come hungry. Read more

I had the pleasure of visiting FruitCraft while they were in their soft opening. A group of girlfriends and I came in and shared... more than a few plates of cheeses, meats, olives, etc. and each got bottles of various fruit-wines that were delish! The serversthere are so informational and fun, that I almost wish they could've sat down and joined us! Now that they've found more oftheir voice, I would love to try them again and see what their expanded menu looks like, what new seasonal recipes they've got,and let's be real- to get a repeat of the daytime wasted one can only get when they think they're walking into a casual brunchand walk out with a personal to-go bottle.
