Reviews for Friend's House Korean in San Diego, CA
I ordered tofu bimbimbub and seafood pancake. Food quality if compared to price is a bit pricey. Service need a bit improvement... because they don?t come check on you. You have to stand up and call them when you need something. Read more
Stopped in for dinner with my friend. We split everything. The steamed dumplings came up first. Fresh and hot. Then we had the... "Army Stew" and the kimchi fried rice. We honestly didn't realize we could split one soup but was def worth. Very flavorful, spice was just right. Highly recommended Read more
Good food. We got the fried rice bowls. One beef and mine was fried tofu which I had to ask for 3 times. We sat for 10 min at... least and before I got up to ask if we were supposed to order at the counter. They said "no", and came to table for our order.Service is sub par. I had to go up to the counter 5 times as there really wasn't any service coming to our table. They alsodon't have dessert. Lots of food for what you get and tastes yummy. Read more
We ordered the army stew and squid with noodles and I have to say the portions are huge, and it is a little expensive but you... get what you pay for portion size. The food was super tasty and we didn't have to wait too long but if you're going to go thereI would recommend you don't go by yourself or you bring a friend to share the food with. Super friendly staff people which Ithink is like the best thing about this place. Read more
usually really tasty but the last visit was quite disappointing. they changed the cut of the pork to thin sliced and it came... out clumped together. the beef in short rib stew was super chewy and not tender at all. hopefully the quality of the cookinggoes back to normal Read more
My favorite place to eat in Convoy. I always order #38 - Korean Spicy Ramen. The Seafood Pancake is great to share with folks.... Lastly, the Korean Appetizer Plates are bomb ????????. The owner is friendly and so are the wait staff. There's an outdoor areathat I hope they keep because the open air vibe is so nice. Invite people here for a simple dinner without much hassle. OrderBeers and Soju while you're at it because you'll enjoy good more. Lastly lastly lastly, order their Iced Coffee. I don't knowwhat they be doing with that, but it hits the spot. I'm usually a Black Coffee drinker, but I make an exception at thisrestaurant and at Pho Restaurants for the Vietnamese Iced Coffee. Read more
Love this place, it truly lives up to it's name. When I walked in I saw the owner sitting and she said "welcome in, sit wherever... you'd like" and immediately felt like I am at my friend's house! The food here is similar to Grandma's Tofu and BBQ but atfriend's house the quality of food is a lot better in my opinion, the price is more reasonable. I ordered the fried gyoza andthe bibimbab. The gyzoas were probably one of the best I've ever had, soft with a light crunch at every bite and superdelicious. The bibimbab was a lot better than any other Korean restaurant I've been to. The quality and presentation wasphenomenal. The service was very good too, the staff are all extremely friendly and kind. I'll definitely be dining at myFriend's House Korean BBQ again. If you want to dine and enjoy quality Korean Food then this is your place too. Read more
The fried dumplings were so crispy and delicious! The kimchi fried rice was so good. A friend recommended Friend's & I agree!
