Don't miss The Firefly! Over the course of our stay at The Dana, we enjoyed several mornings outside on their cozy patio having... coffee and brunch with family and friends. You'll have a wonderful view of the Marina and pool as you sit on cushioned chairsunder umbrellas. We were lucky to have been greeted by hummingbirds flitting about drinking nectar from the many Bird ofParadise plants surrounding the outdoor eatery. The service at The Firefly is excellent. I have stayed in many places frombudget hotels to remote resorts and the Customer Service at The Firefly is remarkable and unexpected. We were remembered andgreeted cordially each morning with a high level of professionalism and care. Never have I felt more welcome in a restaurant orlodging establishment than I did here. Brunch offerings include fresh, ripe fruit, smoked salmon, pastries, scrambled eggs, bacon and sausage, bread and other items. Omelettes and eggs are also made to order while you wait and special orders are madeas requested. Coffee is fresh and hot. Read more

I was very impressed in there fish dish. Cooked properly plus had a nice spicy sauce on it. Most other places don't put any... spicy sauces on there fish. Very bland. My wife Liked the chicken also. Would go back the this restaurant Read more

Came to the Dana on a day pass. Had the buffet breakfast, which tasted good for a buffet. Service was slow then as well, and... they didn't give us the discount for the meal that we had in our day package. but they were nice. We then went there for lunch.I'm not joking when I say that the staff actively ignored us. I sat and watched every staff member look at us and walkaway. We were there with menus waiting for 20 or so minutes before we left. I bet the food is good, and I'm sure the staff arenice. To bad we didn't even get to try. If you choose to come to The Dana, I simply can't recommend that you rely on theFirefly for any of your regular meals. San Diego had amazing food and wonderful service just outside of the hotel. Go to thoseplaces. Restaurants are all about the service. No matter what else is good about it, if the service is lacking, then you mightas well eat at home or go to a cheap diner. Oh and I don't accept any excuse of understaffing or any of that trash. If youcan't afford the staff to operate a smooth business, you should just close down. Read more

My husband and I stayed at the Dana and it was minutes away from our room. Exceptional ambiance when dining at the Firefly.... Service was okay took longer than usual to get our drinks and meals. The prices were based on convenience nothing toextravagant. Additionally, i do recommend the breakfast buffet until 11am. Read more

My sister was visiting from chicago this weekend. We hadn't made reservations and after doing online research for an exquisite... dinner date with my sister. I called as what seemed to be a young lady by the name of Melany/Melody (sorry, I'm not sure if thename). I asked her how she was doing. She said she was doing well. I asked her if the establishment was busy and she repliedstating that it wasn't. I recalled one of my clients recommending this this venue. I jumped on the opportunity. It was a weekendfull of excitement and spending time with her, my attention was devoted to her. The tortilla soup was to perfection, the spices, seasoning were precise as well as the temperature. The tortilla soup was hotter than any ordinary soup but it seemed the prefecttemperature bc we requested to be seated outside. The guacamole and chips, guacamole was fresh and the lime/lemon juice wasn'tover powering the rest of the ingredients in it. The chips were fresh and crisp. The tempura shrimp was fresh, delicious andjuicy. The aoli sauce that garnished the tempura shrimp gave it this spicy kick which enhanced the flavors even more. The drinki had with my meal was a Lavender escape, it wasn't stiff or weak. I could taste every ingredient in it. Every bite fused verywell with the next, every ingredient & spice was precise. Every flavor from the previous plate flowed well with the next. Theguitar player playing 90s hits and singing acapella while the sunset just tied the whole weekend together. Our severe Jacob wasthe most attentive and devoted server I've ever had assist during any meal. He was very polite. He was so attentive that he wasvery apologetic, too apologetic about miniscule things even though I brought it to to him. That there was no need to apologize. That it was totally understandable. This was such a memorable dinner date with my sister bc e rarely get to see each other. Itwas a grand experience and thank you to your staff this wouldn't have had never been poss Read more

This restaurant has been one of my favorites to eat at in Mission Bay for almost 10 years. It has some of the best views,... delicious food and incredible staff! The new shrimp dish and new corn appetizer are amazing! It is extremely reasonably pricedand they always have some kind of cool happy hour or daily drink special. And the kids love it! Read more
