Sunday at 0900. Table was available right away for a party of two. The staff was very efficient and came around to take our... order, gave us refills of coffee, check in on us to make sure we have everything we need. I saw them turn over a messy tablewithin a minute. This is probably the most organized crew I have ever seen. The egg scramble and platter was on point with thecomfort food. And of course the waffles were delicious. I recommend this place that you may have overlooked. Two thumbs up! Read more

The presentation was awesome, but the food didn?t quite hit the spot. The chicken in my chicken & waffles dish was made up of... bone-in wings and thighs, which didn?t make much sense to me. The flavor of the breading didn?t make up for the hard work that Ihad to put into it either. Another unfortunate thing to note was that the waffles tasted more like pancakes (I?m not a fan ofpancakes). Lastly, the hostess that sat us was obviously not happy to be there - it kinda killed some of the vibe from thebeginning. Overall, the food just ok. I?m not sure if I would want to go back. That said, I like what they?re going for. I?dhope that anyone giving it a try has a better experience than we did! Read more

I do really like this place for breakfast comfort food. I've been here quite a few times and each time the food and service has... been good. The food is tasty, you'll probably never see the bottom of your coffee cup, and their specialty waffles areespecially yummy. Even the place itself has that country type barn feel. Anytime not summer, we try to grab a seat on theoutside benches. I would recommend the specialty waffles over the traditional egg/meat/hashbrown meals. The portions are largeenough for take home. Decided to stop here for breakfast while visiting in San Diego, based on the good reviews. The food was good, we had crepes with... strawberries on it. And a waffle breakfast sandwich. Which was my first time trying that, but it was very good. Overall theprices are a little high for breakfast. But for some above $15 average per plate might be good for some. One thing I don'tunderstand why businesses charge you extra to use your credit card when they have high price points for the food that they serveon top of that. And despite that I own a business and you should never penalize your customers for something that cost you to dobusiness including credit cards. It's no different when the power company raises your bill or water usage goes up, you going toput signs up everywhere saying you must charge extra when those things go up. Even though those fees are there and I understandthat when using credit cards, it should not be displayed as a discouragement. For these reasons I took a star away, becauserather than charging for this credit card there's other options, maybe charging if the total orders less than a certain amount,or something like that.
