A classic Mexican spot in Clairemont with a wide selection of items. The supreme (veggie), bean & cheese, chile relleno, and... California burritos are pretty good. The salsas are quite good as well. The only thing is sometimes they almost make their foodtoo fast, and the cheese doesn?t have time to melt. You can end up with a burrito that has hot meat with cold lettuce, cheese,tomato, etc. Read more

Today I purchased a chorizo burrito from Cotixan, it was the first time ordering it, I usually get Carne Asada but decided to... try something different. I am SO disappointed in what I recieved it was horrible, it lacked in taste and it was so disgustinglygreasy that I couldn't eat it. The cook working today 7/11/22 at Noon should be ashamed of putting something out there likethis. Shame on you Cotixan for allowing a cook to do this. I threw away $8.95. If I didn't live 20 miles away, I would come andask for my money back. Read more
I?ve been going here my whole life & it?s still one of my favorites. I love the shrimp quesadilla, carne asada fries or chips,... rolled tacos, carne asada burritos, literally everything is so good. But their RED SALSA is my favorite!! Best salsa out of anytaco shop or anywhere. Really. And you gotta love that it?s 24rs. Read more

So much nostalgia with this place. We used to come here all the time while I was in high school and even though I haven?t been... back to San Diego in 12 years, still feels the exact same. The excitement of the Carina Asada burrito and sitting at the cornertable with my friends. Cannot have asked for a better first meal back in San Diego. Read more
