Fresh and light! We loved the Vietnamese spring rolls with peanut sauce. Everything else we tried was delicious. We ordered the... spicy Thai popcorn chicken at medium spice level and there was little to no heat. I don’t know if that was a fluke or if theyjust aren’t that spicy. Great for take out and enjoy at the beach. Read more

I was searching for Asian food that’s outside of Clairemont and this place popped up. Normally I wouldn’t go here... pre-pandemic in the evening due to traffic but the traffic hasn’t kicked it as much post-lockdown. All three of us was able tofind street parking without having to circle around. We ordered family style to share. We had enough dishes to fill up threehungry humans and ended up with left over fried rice. Shumai-6 ($8.95) Soupy dumplings-6 ($8.95) Hargow-5 ($8.95) Thai stylepopcorn chicken ($7.95) Crab fried rice($16.95) Chili oil wonton ($8.95) All the dishes were delicious! It’s like small Tapasplates which is Dim Sum. The Shimai, dumplings and hargow are smaller than usual but was very tasty. You have soup juicesgushing out of the soupy dumplings, the hargow skin does not stick. The chili oil wonton tasted like regular wontons that wasboiled in broth then chili oil poured over. It’s not what I’m used to but it’s still good and great portion size. Thepopcorn chicken can be made mild or spicy by adding on the chili powder. We got mild with powder on the size to add to ourliking. The crab fried rice was a bit pricey at $16.95 but made it up with the huge portion and bits of real crabpieces. Overall, it’s very simple to order because you can look at the photos. They have notes next to the items that aremost popular or recommended. You can’t go wrong if you stick to that. There’s indoor and outdoor dining. If you choose todine there, it’s all paper plates and plastic utensils. Their drinks look tasty but didn’t get to try. I also got a to-goorder of Rocco’s Special Chicken which is orange chicken with broccoli over rice. Also delicious. Read more

Food was ok. The Mongolian beef didn't have any flavor. I ordered the MILD MI Goreng, it was too hot for me to eat. Ghd food... went to waste. The Rocco orange chicken was tasty. The chicken dumplings fell flat in flavor. Disappointing.. Read more

They've got some interesting drinks and fusion dishes. We tried the crying tiger tacos, which were delicious with a tangy sauce... that reminded me of thai papaya salad. My hubs also tried the laksa, which was as good as any we've tried at Malaysianrestaurants. The butterfly pea lemonade was also nice and refreshing. Only concern was they're a bit lax on the mask thing(but it is PB) and they don't have much setup for outdoor dining, but they'd be great for take-out. Definitely excellentquality food. Read more

Definitely one of my new favorite restaurants in PB. The menu had a nice variety and the chef knows her flavors. The soupy... dumplings were great, great texture great flavor. Rocco's special is a higher quality rendition of orange chicken, tasty with agreat crunch. I got the chicken katsu curry which was tasty, but I wish I received more curry sauce. The menu looks awesomeand I can't wait to try more Read more

Excellent new spot in PB, I’m already a big fan. I had the “soupy dumplings” (xiao long bao), which were delicious and... served in cute little tins. You get 6, which I think is generous for the quality and price. My kids loved them as well. Theprice was very fair, and they’re definitely the best soup dumplings in the area. I also had the Thai style popcorn chickenwhich was quite tasty, and uniquely flavored too. They were my favorite dish from the meal I had. They’re a great blend issweet and savory with a little spice. The final dish I tried were the potato balls. They’re fried with cheese on the insideand served with spicy mayo. The Mayo was delicious! They also have many other dishes. I’m Excited to try their Thai tea withboba, and their crying tiger tacos! Definitely swing by and give them a try. Their to-go process was also very smooth andpackaged well, an important consideration when eating out in the time of COVID. Read more
