After coming across a lot of good reviews and recommendations on YouTube, we were really excited to try this place and wow they... didn?t disappoint. Ordered their crispy cauliflower and chili paneer for starters, special mention about their samosas as theyare packed with spices and flavorful. Hyderabadi style paneer biriyani was a treat, had to order a mango lassi which was soyummy! I was also surprised to see such a huge crowd on a weekday but glad we reserved a table ahead of time. Was recommended this place by multiple separate parties who felt they know the Indian food scene in San Diego well as the best... place to get Indian food. Though I personally have not explored this scene much in SD, I was happy with the food here. Biryanicame well recommended, and agree the spice was intricate with just the right level of heat. Amazing Biriyani?s. We were a group of 7, visited this place on a weekend after there grand opening (after remodeling), they... did an exceptional work with the interiors, and had a kind of Hyderabadi vibe to it. When it comes to food, we mostly hadBiriyanis, we ordered a family feast with Goat, and chicken biriyani, and both of it is top notch authentic, we loved it. Wealso ordered Naan, chicken tikka masala, chicken and baby corn 65(few of it came with family feast), and we lovedeverything. Service was good too. Also, owners dropped by to greet us, and to check how the restaurant and food was. Which isalways a good sign that they are pushing to keep up the standards. Horrible. Curry is watered down. Service is slow. Table is sticky. Indoor Ventilation is bad. Food is salty. No curry taste. ... Portions big, but the food does not taste good at all. I ordered a to-go from this place. I ordered a family pack of bezawada biryani and chicken 65 biryani. They both were really... good. Had the right flavors and tasted great. The quantity was pretty decent. I also ordered Apollo fish and majestic chicken.The fish was good, majestic chicken was a little too chewy for me. Overall the food ordered from this restaurant had greatquality and quantity. My experience with Charminar was delightful. Beautiful ambience, delicious food, courteous staff and swift service is the... essence of this place. We loved everything we tried here but if you?re a vegetarian then Paneer Chilli and Paneer Biryani aredefinitely a must try here. In desserts do try Shahi Tukda.
