Really enjoyed our evening over at Cesarina. The atmosphere was great, food tasty, and service very attentive. The place itself... has a nice whimsy and charm. It feels homey but still modern with fun touches like the rooster water pitcher and pickledvegetable wall. Food was excellent! Tasted very fresh but also hearty and you could tell the pasta was homemade. Also freebread, which is a huge win at any Italian spot and really just separates a place. Service was great and prices were reasonable.Wish it was easier to get a reservation on the fly haha. Read more

Currently best Italian restaurant in San Diego. Very limited parking (2 spots) so park on the street. Reservations are a must.... Good drinks and appetizers. The octopus and polenta was delicious. Fried seafood platter was light and tasty. Salads and veggieoptions available on the menu. Make your own pasta choices with different types of pasta, sauces and protein to choose from. Ihad the shrimp truffle gnocchi but was also salivating to try the pesto pasta. Come hungry or else you won't have room fordessert. We shared a tiramisu and the waiter came over and made it at our table. Inside and outside seating available. Deliciousfood worth the parking hassle. Read more

I celebrated my birthday here and let me tell you it was amazing! We got the vegan lasagna and spinach ravioli and both were... sooo amazing. I will be dreaming about it until I can go back again. The non-vegan in our party also loved their dish! The pastais so fresh and was so well prepared. They gave me free vegan dessert for my birthday and even a Polaroid picture of our group. It was really cute. Highly recommend this place! Read more

The staff, drinks, and food were amazing. The vegan options had such great flavor and texture. It was really the best vegan... Italian meal I’ve had in San Diego. If I had to make any criticism it would be that the dishes could use a vegan protein (mockmeat) of some sort. But that aside, it was a perfect experience. Read more

The focaccia bread that is served complimentary is baked fresh and is very yum. Food is good. I thought the pasta could be a... little softer. The staff is very warm and welcoming. One of the drinks (Manata) was a bit too strong but they replaced it andcharged only for the replacement. The cauliflower was bland for us so they did not charge for that as well. Read more
