I recently checked out this venue after a Padres game and had a good time listening to their live music near the bar. They had... plenty of indoor and outdoor seating and service was fairly quick even with the after the game rush. I didn?t get any food butoverall the venue and service for drinks was great. It's actually between a 4 and a 5. Ordered a two item combo and was happy to see Pozole as an option. Ordered Chile Relleno... which was good but sort of hoped it came with tortillas which it didn't. Nice a colorful place. Daily promotions would be niceand might attract more peeps. Will certainly come back. It's better if you go in a group to try different things. Read more

Chips were good. Food was fine, nothing to write home about. The service (order to food on table) was extremely slow. Do not... come here if you don?t have time to wait for your food. It?s super dog friendly though. They allow dogs inside the restaurant! Read more

Good location, excellent food, reasonable prices, friendly and attentive staff. This is my first time here, our waitress, Marie,... was very nice, and will certainly go there again, when in the area. Highly recommended. Read more

It wasn't to good.also I found something hard like a rock in my beans. Lucky enough I didn't Crack my teeth with it. But I'm... only giving them two stars. I got the meal for free. Even though I barely ate anything off of it. Plus I feel like i been tobetter Mexican places before. Read more

We ate at a bunch of different highly-rated restaurants while in San Diego for a conference and Carmelita?s was the best. It?s... conveniently located near the conference center (take the skybridge next to Petco Park). The servers were great, even when theplace was busy. Every meal starts with a complimentary basket of chips, salsa roja, and black beans. The menu has typicalMexican dishes, as well as some exceptional dishes, like the steak, the mole enchiladas, and the chicken breast with Serranosauce (pictured), all for a good price. There?s a nice outdoor seating area and it looked like they could accommodate largergroups. If I lived in San Diego, I?d be a regular at Carmelita?s. Read more

New Mexican food joint just behind Petco Park in San Diego?s East Village. Drinks were great, food was really good but the best... part honestly was our awesome waitress. We went with her suggestions for food and she was spot on! Definitely a place youshould try before or after Padres games. Or just for a fun day or night out! Read more
