Came here for a birthday dinner and was absolutely blown away. We ordered the Mediterranean Feast with the wine pairing and... enjoyed every second of it! The wines complemented each dish perfectly and the food was amazing. The courses were more thanenough food and we left feeling completely satisfied. We also tried the kook juice and espresso self cocktails and they werealso 10/10. Can?t wait to come back! Read more

If you?re looking for the greatest dining experience in all of East Village San Diego then look no further than Callie! The... atmosphere is beyond incredible, the service was amazing, helpful and constantly served with a smile and the cocktails were onpoint! Family style eating from apps to sides to main course to desserts. All were delicious! Cannot wait to go back and trymore of the menu. This place is packed so book a reservation a good amount in advance or come earlier or later and pull up aseat at the bar! Read more

Got the Mediterranean feast - a 5 course meal with selected items from the menu. Great dishes, it's hard to choose my favorite... of the night, but I would say the crunchy veggies with the avocado and lime cream was a very pleasant surprise. I would easilyoverlook that dish and would not had ordered if it was not included in the selection, but I am so glad I tried it! Delicious! The fish was also great, the pasta was sweet and balanced in flavors, and the passion fruit pavlova was the final hit. Greatdinner and nice ambiance! Read more

Wow this restaurant was amazing! My girlfriend took me for my 21st birthday and we seriously had the best time. The food &... drinks were incredible and the service was one of the best I?ve ever had. The Kook juice had me feeling real good! We did theMediterranean Feast and it was perfect because we got to try a little bit of everything! Some of our favorites were the unitoast, the avocado labneh with fresh pita, the KILLER Aleppo chicken and finally the lemon pavlova which was so fresh and aperfect ending to an even more perfect night! Honestly there was nothing we didn?t try that we didn?t love so huge complimentsto the chef on that. Also the restaurant itself is so beautiful. Definitely recommend & would love to go back! Initially I was a little worried about the hype here, but had a good time at Callie and I would certainly come back when in... town. The place is huge, a lot of seating and a nice bar. Ceilings are too high, I would have preferred a different setting fora restaurant but it was fine. Plates are well done, with a right balance in all of them. Tried the crudite, the salmon, theprawns, the artichokes and the rigatoni pasta. The artichokes were above all others and tasted (and smelled) really fresh. Onthe dessert side the pavlova won the presentation over the taste. Opted to get the pudding after it and couldn't do better, tryit because it is awesome. The service deserves a positive review too. Callie is a beautiful restaurant! Very inviting! First off, they have a parking garage with free 3 hour parking with... validation, always a big plus downtown. The drinks are tasty, try the blood ritual or the espresso martini. For food, we orderedthe Mediterranean Feast so we could sample around the menu. I really enjoyed the dip sampler, I love the avocado labneh. Also, the Aleppo chicken is super tender and tasty. The pavlova dessert is a win, yum. Service was excellent as well! Read more

I had high expectations for this restaurant, but the 5 course menu was underwhelming. The carrot was super acidic. The chicken... was cooked properly but it was very over seasoned, we couldn?t taste anything else on the dish. The hamachi was good, butmissing components (you?re paying top dollar for a dish, it better be worth every bite). And last but not least the pasta dish, terrible. Sauce was bland, pasta undercooked, filling was super basic. Service was great but the overall experience did notmatch for what we paid. Would not recommend the 5 course meal, there?s no progression to every course, no story behind. I wonderhow this place made to Michelin guide, long way to go? Read more
