Reviews for Busy Bee Cafe in San Diego, CA
One of the newer eateries in the zoo that has pizzas to order. The menu is kind of limited as you can\'t just get a single patty... burger for kids. Also the hot dogs are only for kids\' meals.\n\nThe food is expensive for what you are buying and the qualityis so so. While the funds go to a good cause having less full-size meal options for smaller price would be nice. Not everyonewants a double patty burger and fries on a hot day full of walking. Read more
The food was ok… pretty expensive but it was standard across the whole zoo… lots of places to eat here
Garlic Parmesan wings were surprisingly good. Burger bun and toppings were good, but actual patty was just a standard theme park... patty. This place just opened so reviews that are more than 2 months out are of someplace else. Read more
This was a great place for lunch. The Double Trouble Burger was delish. pattys were thin but with toppings including 2 thick... pieces of bacon it was filling. Read more
Besides the food: no one wants to accept anything edible from a lady with coffin nails: that is an absolute gross oversight for... food industry standards. Long nails like that are harboring stuff from all week long ???? And yes, we did leave after eatingbecause of belly aches.\n\nThe double patty burger is necessary because each patty is as thick as a double slice of cheese.Neither makes it half way across the bun, so its really misleading: it takes two of these patties to comprise a whole patty andits still a meager and flavorless one at that.\n\nThere was even some tiny, hard, colorless spots that my son kept spitting out. What is going on here?\n\nIt has bacon on it, but it is so thick and hard that it was inedible. I doubt they will offer baconfor long with the CA price jump that is expected on the pork industry. While the thickness looked appetizing, the texture madeit useless.\n\nThe shoestring fries are not greasy, but lack any flavor. There were enough on the side if just one burger for anentire family though.\n\nThe pickles were the best part, as they tasted more like zingy homemade ones vs the jarred stuff at thestore.\n\nOverall, I wouldn\'t stop again for the menu items :(\n\nI\'m not a fan of sweets, but the cake pops were expertlevel, so I expect that the kids will want one to finish every back to this side of the sky ride :) Read more
I left a message for the manager of this cafe at the San Diego Zoo. The food and service were wonderful…the Best of all the... food we tried there. As a matter of fact we returned three times the day we were there (we were there 9 hours)! The cheese pizzawas delicious…the waffle cone yummy…and the strawberry margarita hit the spot on the hot day. We loved it all. Thank you! Read more
This is a great find. It is kinda hidden behind the skyfari. They have fries, jumbo hot dogs, pizza, jumbo corn dogs, ice cream... and more. I think the best deal is the family meal. 4 drinks, 4 jumbo hot dogs or jumbo corn dogs and a bucket of French friesin a souvenir bucket to share for $50. Lots of seating available outside in the picnic area. No seating within the Cafe. Read more
