We had to make reservations. Once we arrived we were seated immediately. We ate outside so didn't get a chance to see the... atmosphere inside. But service was good, there was 8 of us in our group, not 1 of us had a bad meal! It was hot, fresh, delish, & flavorful. I'll be back. Read more

Great food and very kind staff. The menu has seemingly authentic but quite diverse. I had the pasta jambalaya and it was... amazing. A little spicy and great flavor. Read more

Bud?s is one of the best Cajun/Creole restaurants in San Diego county. Tucked away in a business park at Kearny Mesa?s eastern... edge, they are known for their gumbos, grits, and alligator sausage. I really like the red beans, rice, and chicken entree, aswell as their bisque. The fried pickles are pretty killer as well. The owner is really friendly and cool! Read more

The service was great starting with the Hostess. Waiting staff friendly and fast. Atmosphere was great even though it was busy... lunch time. Food was worth the drive fron Chula Vista. Have to go back and try the seafood Gumbo. Read more

Very nice ambiance and friendly staff. Mixed feelings about the food. The jambalaya was a little dry but I exchanged a piece of... catfish instead of a chicken thigh and that was fantastic. Really good catfish. I think next time I'm there, and there will be anext time, I'll try the catfish maybe with some pasta. I would definitely suggest a visit. The warm environment really makes youfeel at home. It was very very good. I've also got to give an A+ to the sweet tea. That's the compliment to any spicy meal. Read more

The food was absolute fantastic - we had the shrimp and grits, beignets, jambalaya burrito, and cornbread muffins. The coffee... was also surprisingly good and the ambiance is very comfortable! It was a little busy when we went so there was a small wait -the waitress was working on her own and so kind and enjoyable. Just be aware it may get busy! Read more
