I visit this location at least once a week before work and I feel like their customer service is ok. Today it was definitely... lacking as it took longer than usual for someone to take my order at the drive thru or to even say anything when I pulled up.Then I get to the window and it took longer than usual for my drink and there was only one other car at the window. I thoughtmaybe they're short staffed, which I get but there was a good amount of people behind the counter. I think this place coulddefinitely be 5 stars with better customer service. They are the worse better buzzed ever. I had try giving it multiple chances since is really close to my job, but they are... extremely slow! Do not go there if you are not willing to spend 20 or more minutes. Today I ordered an Acai bowl online to justpick up, and be able to have time to eat during my lunch. When I get there is not ready because they did not wanted to be meltedit (which I tough it was fine), and I waited around 15 minutes to have it ready. I get to my car to eat and it's completelymelted (literally liquid). I get back inside to ask for a refund because my lunch was over, and I did not have time to wait foranother one, and they said that the could not refund me because I ordered through the app. I went back to work without eating,without Acai bowl, and without money. I?ve never seen anything like this. They charge $6+ for a large latte. When I asked for light ice on the side they put 30% of... the latte in a cup and gave me a cup of ice. Ive never seen a coffee shop literally give you 30% of a drink because ice has tobe 60% of the cup!! Definitely a huge rip off and bad customer service. Many other places around here. Could be better about greeting or recognizing you as a customer when you walk in, took about 4 mins for anyone to say hi. They... were super busy, bit walking in the door is just as important as drive thru. I saw a worker realize a drink wasn't mixed andtook it back to fix it, awesome attention to detail. Loved my iced mocha and chocolate chip banana bread, but left my peanutbutter cookie there on the counter by accident, not realizing til I got to work. 8( Glad to have one close to work, will goback! SO YUMMY! This place is a little expensive but nothing crazy. The bacon and egg chibata is SO good. It has a spicy sauce on it... too that?s not too crazy but definitely gives it a good twist and the bread is amazing. Excellent pumpkin spice drinks. There were actual granules of nutmeg/all spice in the bottom of my pumpkin cold brew cup. Real... spice tastes better! Nice strong coffee flavor in the latte too. This is one of my favorite cafes. I miss the avalanche drink(is that what is was called, with a giant 2-inch cube of ice?), but I tend to enjoy every drink I get here. They don'tover-sweeten, and they start with a nice, strong, dark-roasted flavor. Pre-pandemic, they only had ~2 locations. I wassurprised to now see at least 11 more locations all over San Diego county and was happy there was one close to my hotel. Staffwere clearly busy but fairly nice. Read more
