I had the average joe burger and it was literally one of the best burgers Ive ever had! We weren't excited about the chips... instead of fries until we had them, they were delicious too! Definitely recommend, really cool place inside and food is great. Read more
I really want to like it but they had disappointing small portions and incomplete descriptions on the menu that led to me being... very disappointed with what I ordered. Entrees feel like appetizers. I wanted to send both orders back but felt guilty so onlyended up sending one back. Fml. With that being said, the entrees and menu items are reasonably priced. ???????? phenomenal meat pies. It had been a while since I’d had a savory pie and having grown up in Ireland and South Africa... I do love a good pie. The lamb and beef pies here are the best pies I’ve had in a long time. The pastry was flaky on top andchewy on the bottom and the meat inside was very well cooked and seasoned. I’ll also mention the chips (fries) as a standouthere too. Often fries are overlooked at places and just thrown onto the plate to take up space and be a filler (like the place Iwent yesterday, the contrast between the two is why I’m making this point). Here you can tell care goes into the chips, theyare thick, chunky, and seasoned with a nice salty almost sweet seasoning. The chips were so nice on their own I didn’t need touse the sauce but oh boy when I did use the tomato sauce, the combo with the seasoning was great! It also wasn’t typicaltomato sauce I think they customize it too. So hats off on the chips here! (and the pies too of course but I was expecting theseto be good). I also got the mag pie for dessert and this was good but it didn’t live up to my expectations and I didn’tthink it was the same standard as the rest of the meal. I think some of the ice cream was still a bit frozen inside. That beingsaid this place gets 5/5 for the lethal pies and fries combo, great, tasty, comfort food! Had to update my review to say thatthe chicken pot pie was even better! The sauce was thick and creamy, the pastry soft and chewy, and the biscuits fresh andtoasted.
