I frequented this restaurant until today. I watched the waitress use her bare hands to take French fries out of a customer's... plate and take it in the back and ate them. She then (believing I didn't see her the first time) took French fries out of myplate with her bare hands. I let her know that I saw her and she stated "they were falling off" I asked her for a fresh order. She took that order in the back and notified the chef, he then followed her where she took the last order covered it with a trayand tried to serve it to me again. I hate that they had such bad practices because I enjoyed the food here but this can not beunseen. If you don't have issues with the waitresses eating off your plate or touching your food with their bare hands then byall means eat here. If you have an issue with that type of stuff especially during COVID, DO NOT EAT HERE! Aladdin Hillcrestwill never get another dime from me. I feel bad I should've told the other customer what the waitress did with her food adwell, I just walked out. It happened today November 7, 2022 @1pm Read more

My heart is so happy when we eat here. The entire menu is spectacular but the labneh, garlic sauce, hummus with chicken... shawarma, and mixed pickles is how we hit it today. The staff is kind and attentive and the combination of superior service andphenomenal foods brings us back every time we are in San Diego Read more

This is one of my favorite places to eat in San Diego, especially if I am looking for an in the mood for Mediterranean food. I... love the chicken Shawarma wrap with the side salad because it is the perfect balance for my medical condition. My friend thatwas with me for dinner this evening had ordered the lamb chops and she said it was absolutely wonderful. It is great that theyhave patio seating and are pet friendly because she had her four-legged child with her. It was an evening of excellent food, great conversation and much love from the four-legged child. I definitely will be back! Read more

My go to lunch favorite! I love this place! It is a little pricey, but I certainly enjoy the authentic flavors! My go to entrees... are the Chicken Kebab Wrap with a salad... the salad it comes with is great! You can get fries too, they are a good option tooif you want to be more full. I also enjoy the Chicken Kebab plate! ( it?s the plate pictures here and the salad plate) It?stotally shareable! It?s a lot of food! If it?s a hot day, try the mint iced tea! It?s so refreshing! One of the Staples of Mediterranean food in the San Diego area. Aside from the regular kabobs and shawarma they offer some home... cooking dishes. The four star is for something I'm mentioning at the end of the review. Three stars for taste. For two people weordered $90 worth of food which brings me to the price it's about 30% more than average on all diahws. We ordered makloba whichwas cooked perfectly but the taste was bland. Portions huge not small like the picture. We also ordered the Mezza collection ofappetizers which had meats in it and not only salads. Backlava with ice cream is decedent andbfresh. The reason for the fourstars is our waitress Stephanie added 18% gratuity for two people at the end and when I asked why she said when you order over acertain amount we charge that even for 2 people which was ridiculous I asked her to remove it and she did.whether the ownersknow or don't know about this I don't like restaurants that don't have control over their servers. Service was good. You have tocome try those home cooking flavors for yourself and my advice to the owners is to have a family style section for those hugeportions and the regular section on the menu for one person portions. Just my 2cents. Read more
