My opinion as a home coffee roaster, Achilles Coffee is my new standard of coffee shop. Their quality of bean, the weighted... precision of every cup made, and the cleanliness of their process is unmatched. The only thing missing is glassware in additionto takeaway cups but I understand their market decision for that based on their location and clientele. Have a shot of espressoand a fancy drink. Super chill spot in the heart of Gaslamp District in San Diego. Seating both indoors and outdoors. Mostly shaded areas in the... morning. Service was fast and hospitable. No drip coffees just americano or pour over which will take a minute (actually 5-7minutes). They have free dog biscuits and also free wi-fi. Beautiful corner spot. Read more
Achilles is your go to coffee shop in the Gaslamp district. Good bagels and extensive menu for breakfast. They also accommodate... all pups! I enjoyed the French toast and the iced tea. I am here in San Diego for the week and have tried a few coffee spots, but Achilles hits my weak spot (which isn't my... heel). This establishment offers a variety of food and drink options. They make their own chocolate in house for their mochaand it's delicious! It is one of the best mocha's I've had. I been getting the large mocha, which has two shots ofespresso. Every barista working has been very nice and conversational. I have been three times and been served by threedifferent, wonderful, people. I did not get their names sadly to thank them. If you want a phenomenal coffee to start your daythis is the place to go. I do wish they had some local pastries for those who don't want a full fledged breakfast option. Read more
