We are members who frequent SJC, but occasionally venture into the SC location, which we did today. Our wait person's name was... Payton. She was so delightfully warm, and engaging. We really appreciated her energy and personal attention. We enjoyed themushroom flatbread with alfredo sauce and prosciutto on top. Simply delicious. Highly recommend! Read more

My wife & I, plus good friends of ours visited Rancho Capistrano Winery to grab a quick glass of wine, before our 2pm... reservation at the Tea House on Los Rios. We waited about 10 minutes, standing at the wine bar, before a bartenderappeared from somewhere to take our order. Numerous servers raced by us in those ten minutes, but nobody spoke to us, oracknowledged our existence. I began to think I was invisible. When the bartender did appear, at least he was pleasant, & askedto take our orders. My wife & I shared a glass of the Remington Tempranillo. Our friends split a glass of Michele Merlot. Each of us enjoyed sipping our wine. 2 four ounce pours of wine totaled $30, a bit pricy for my taste. On their web-site, Inoticed that a bottle of the Remington Tempranillo sells for $54. On the chalk board in the bar, it was priced at $49.Yikes! Still expensive. I looked over their menu, and it appears they have a fairly sizable amount of food options, featuring somenice gourmet food choices as well, but with equally gourmet prices. Rancho Capistrano Winery is near Mission San JuanCapistrano, in a quaint setting featuring narrow streets, lined with small boutique stores & a very old wooden home on display. It's a touristy area, where lots of folks are milling about. Perhaps that's why the prices are a bit steep IMO, for food & wineat this establishment. They have a nice outdoor patio that was full, when we arrived, at 1:30pm yesterday, 7/20/21. If you'renot worried about how much your meal & drink cost, then this winery would be right up your alley. I LOVED this experience. First time going to a "winery" and the wait staff were so knowledgeable they explained every wine in... depth (although I didn't understand any of it)???? The one food item we had was DELICIOUS and im not even a fan of blue cheese. The wine was very good as well and a tasting of 5 wines was 15 bucks!!! Also all day happy hour on Mondays! Can't beat that! Read more

Our experience was just over three stars. While the food was nicely prepared, the inside ambiance was pretty industrial (cold... metal chairs for example) and service was distracted by setting up for a large party. Even with a mention that we werecelebrating my wife's birthday, there wasn't a hint of extra attention or offer of a desert to share or the kind of offertypically found in high end restaurants. Not a place for a special moment. Read more

Always great. Was easy to get seated and find a great wine. Food is always great. Impossible burger is good but at $20 it... should be. Flatbreads and salads are amazing. Pic is of BBQ chicken flatbread without cheese as my daughter is lactoseintolerant. Please like this review if you find helpful. Read more

This is a new restaurant/ wine tasting place in San Clemente. We had such great food, wine and service the first time we went... with friends that we took our twenty something son and daughter-in-Law there before Thanksgiving. The Five 2ounce wine tastingfor $15 was really fun. You pick the five you want to try from their menu. Love Allie, their restaurant manager. She makes theexperience fun! Read more
