I went here on the opening day. Food sucked and spent the next day either praying to or sitting on the toilet. Tried again... couple months later and same result. Now the closest I get to the place is using their benches when I get something from Rosa'sCafe a couple doors down because it has benches that let some morning sun shine through. Worst service ever! Wallet in. No one in line, 4 people behind the counter. 1 lady making Tortillas. 2 on their cell... phones, and one packaging to go orders making tacos. Stood there for literally 10 minutes and No Acknowledgment, no "hi, we'llbe right with you!" NOTHING. Will NEVER RETURN to this location. Have been here several times and each time it's gottenworse! We tried to come here at the end of our road trip and it was closed a full hour early from what was on the sign and google... listing. There were 4 employees still inside at 907 (posted 10pm closing) but none of them would acknowledge us knocking orcome tell us why they were closed. 2 employees made eye contact but just looked away. See pic for hours sign and time stamp. Icalled the listed number and it went to a corporate line that told me to email with issues. Finally one of the employees had towalk out to take out the trash. I asked him why they are closed and he said they ran out of food? now I can be understanding ofany issues but ignoring us when we were clearly trying to get into a business that is marked open was very unprofessional. I used to love frequent the cafe rio off el Toro so when they built this one I was happy that there was a closer option.... However, this cafe rio has poor service and burritos with next to nothing inside them.. please fix this so I can enjoy my oncefavorite fast food burrito. Read more

We?ve gone to Cafe Rio San Clemente 3 times?ALL 3 times they don?t have steak. Don?t know what management or whoever orders the... meat are doing. They continue to fail every single time. Figure it out San Clemente and learn from El Toro Cafe Rio. Read more

Delicious food and friendly staff! We ordered sweet Barbacoa pork salads and a vegetarian tostada. The sweet pork is delicious... and we haven?t found anything like it at any other fast casual restaurants. Restaurant was clean and the decor was appealing. Highly recommend! Read more

I am so happy with my choice; I have to say pictures helped a lot too When you get to Cafe Rio, Look around and make sure you... have seen all the photos; when I saw the Brisket Mexican BBQ, I had to have it I did not get to chew on the meat more than oncebecause brisket got dissolved.
