Ordered the Torta Ahogada with chicharrones. Everything was delicious. The bread was soft and moist. The combination of pickled... onions and cabbage are one of my favorites. The salsa had a kick, but not too spicy (although I would prefer it a bit morespicy). And then top off the experience by sitting outside next to the Riverwalk and feel the heartbeat of downtown San Antonio.Thank you Zocalo. Read more

You got to go to Zocalo! I went here two days for lunch and it was fantastic. The staff was friendly, the food was fresh and... the service was fast! The first day I had the La Cubana Sandwich and it made me think of Jon Favreau in the movie ?Chef? in hisquest to make the perfect Cuban sandwich, and like the movie, this sandwich did not disappoint. The next day I had a Mahi Mahirice bowl and it was delicious! The fish was cooked to perfection and melted in your mouth; the rice and vegetables were freshand tasty. The meals are served with tortilla chips and they had a selection of chili sauces that you could choose ranging frommild to super spicy. The price per meal was around $10-$15. Stop on by and enjoy!
