Stopped in randomly recently one day for dinner with my man after work. The price wasn't bad it wasn't busy when we stopped in.... Staff was polite and stayed busy with cleaning and other duties the whole time. The place was clean n food was good. I had friesand my man had onion rings, both where so good. The burger was also good the bun was soft the lettuce was nice and crispy.Simple burgers but good. Also for the ice eaters they have the big hollow square type ice if it matters haha Overall enjoyed itwill likely be back. Read more

I had a Wayback Classic and added fries and a drink which turned out to be a very underwhelming $12.96 with tax combo meal... cleverly disguised by the ala-carte menu prices. First of all, the appearance of the burger itself was very disappointing. Thebun was close to falling apart and looked like they picked it from the bottom of the stack. I poured ketchup on the friesbefore deciding to take pics and the amount of fries they gave me was embarrassing. I counted about 15 visible fry fragments inthe picture so multiply that by about 2 for being stacked which ends up being about 15 full length fries. I thought whatcheapskates, potatoes are traditionally what burger joints give you to make up for their small burgers and they couldn't evenget that right. Count the fries yourself. I asked for no cheese but they didn't reduce the price of the burger despite that. For those that dislike cheese, there didn't seem to be any no cheese options on the menu. Upon lifting the bun, the amount ofketchup and mustard they put is ridiculous. I also asked for pickles which they left out. They gave me a partial tomato sliceinstead of a full slice. They basically take no pride in their end product at this place. On the upside I did like the tasteof the meat but was still hungry after eating my meal. Needless to say I won't be coming back again. I should've gone with myinstinct and traveled a little further to get a better burger at Burger Boy. I'm totally neutral here, not affiliated with anyrestaurant; I'm just a burger fan who likes to try different burger joints from time to time. For drink refills you have to getin line at the counter and ask for one and the cashier seemed bothered by having to refill drinks. Overall not a positiveexperience, I don't recommend Wayback to any dudes or dudettes with bigger appetites. Read more

We love our burgers and decided to try this place. We had the Classic Burger, which is definitely in the top five for San... Antonio! What made the Burger outstanding, was the juiciness of it. The blend of beef and fat ratio was perfect. The Frenchfries were not crisp and a little soggy, which means the fryer probably was being overworked and had too many loads dropped intoit. We also had the Grilled Chicken Caesar Salad. The Chicken was seasoned nicely and cooked just right. The lettuce was freshand crisp. However, the croutons were stale and we didn't like the texture of them. I recommend this place, if you want a greatburger. But would probably go someplace else for the French fries. The Service was good and the people were friendly. TheEstablishment was clean and family friendly. Read more

This place is a joke. 40 minutes and counting to get 2 burgers and 2 sides. The sides were the 3rd choice, since they were out... of what I asked for. I completely understand supply issues, but let?s mark them as sold out. 3 people in the kitchen and food iscoming out at a snails pace. There was a family dining in that had been waiting for 45 minutes and their order came outwrong. To the owner that replied to my review. I did not enjoy the food. I did not eat the hardened bacon fries, the burntonion rings or the greasy burger with a non toasted bun, I believe you call it The Cheesy. I won?t be back. I don?t wish you anyill will. I am just sharing my unfortunate experience with your place of business. Read more

I was shopping nearby, craving a burger for lunch, and this restaurant popped up on Google maps. I'm so glad I stopped in. They... weren't busy and my burger came out quick and exactly as I ordered it. Both the burger and the fries were delicious. The cashierwas friendly and nice. I'll definitely return next time I'm in the area and wanting a great burger. The parking lot is small, but if you needed to park at Raising Canes and walk a few extra feet then you're fine. Read more

This place is a great little hidden gem here in San Antonio. I think I found my go to spot when I want a good burger now that... most of the burger fi's around me are closed down. I was not expecting their burgers to be so delicious. I especially enjoyed the bacon cheese fries. And so did my kids since they ate most of mine even though they had their own fries. It was so good Ihad to even get dessert to try out, and I'm one of the ones who hardly ever orders dessert but their shakes are awesome also. Read more

5 stars on this visit?first time. I read the negative reviews and I did not experience one of them. Good job. (Awesome... O?rings) My biggest problem is that I was not treated as if ?I was bothering them as a customer? like many other venues. To thecooks and counter staff: make the best of all you do, bring forth the best in your selves to a burger joint. Take it to an artlevel of cooking and customer service. Then, take that with you wherever you go. Remember, all of you are customers somewhereelse.?? Read more
