My favorite torchys location in SA thus far. The inside is quite spacious even when it's busy on a weekend. My food has always... come out fresh and full of ingredients. I've been to other locations and my food is noticeably less packed withingredients. Always get the queso. It's just perfect. Read more

Beef Fajita = Salt First time here, cool place, nice peeps but wow. Just wow. Not sure if this was a mistake today but my taco... tastes just like salt, nothing else - saltiness food I?ve had had. From anywhere! Read more

I've loved Torchy's since I lived in Austin and they were new. They never really let me down and didn't today. We all went for... lunch and I had the Crossroads. And to hack my lunch into two tacos I got an extra tortilla. They give you so much on one thatyou can make it into two tacos. My daughter had the trailer trash and my wife had the shrimp tacos. We also had guacamole anda side of rice. All was great and as expected. Drinks (margarita and cherry lime) were fabulous. We'll continue to come. Read more

I tried both the special of the month "the Cougar" and the fried avocado tacos. Food came out fast after ordering at the counter... but my friend's drink took a while to come. I got both my tacos on corn tortillas, the tortillas were really good. The tacoswere flavorful and full of great ingredients, but both felt kind of dry. The cougar came stuffed with meat and was excellent butthe fried avocado was hard to taste over all the cheese. We also split some queso and it was pretty good. I'll go back, I likethat they have a new taco to check out every month. Read more

I'd have to go again to really say of I liked it. I had to go and their roscoe taco. Was under impressed as it was a waffle... (soggy), chicken strip, under cooked bacon(not crispy at all), and an egg. It was like a breakfast bowl I could have madebetter. The Shrimp bowl was good. Sauce was good. And everything flavorful. One of the newer locations since Torchy's started expanding - this one seems great for larger parties and has a dedicated bar... area and outside area. If you didn't know, it's a chain that started out of Austin. These are not your traditional tex-mextacos. Think of them more as fusion tacos with some ingredients having tex-mex inspiration. While not vegetarian, I was a hugefan of the "Independent" taco which had fried portobello mushroom strips, refried black beans, roasted corn, escabeche carrots, cotija cheese, cilantro and fresh avocado. It was amazing however they changed up their menu, losing tacos and certainingredients when they franchised. Now I get the Fried Avocado taco; change the mixed cheddar cheese to cotija cheese, addgrilled corn and pickled jalapenos/onions, and remove the pico de gallo. It's not the exact same but is reminiscent of the warm, savory, and spicy flavors I miss. I also grab the taco of the month because it's usually some interesting ingredient mix thatI'd never have done on my own. Feb '22 was the Scallywag taco: coconut-battered shrimp, bacon, green chiles, pickled onions, jack cheese, cilantro and peach habanero jam. Reminds me of a sweet and spicy Baja shrimp taco. Read more
