The OX TAILS! My wife and I dined there yesterday 11/13/2022 for brunch. First of all let me tell you about the kindness that we... received. Our server Sunny was very kind, attentive and polite. The OX tails were impressive, I wanted to go back for secondshowever their was too much great food for me to ignore. The Catfish was tasty, the asparagus was cooked to perfection, the baconwas thick, and the red potatoes soft and tender. The Jazz band that was performing was exceptional, the sax player was flawlessand the young lady who joined them for one song while we there brought me to tears when she started singing. I was visiting San Antonio and went to this spot for Sunday brunch. The food was absolutely amazing. Brunch is cafeteria buffet... style with an option for endless mimosas. There was also a live band with great song selection. It did get pretty busy, but theservice was still outstanding. Read more
Ox Tails. Me "This is just pot roast" also me "WRONG"...Was amazing. Fried Chicken: Me "Fried Chicken is fried chicken" also me ... "I don't know what they marinate or brine this chicken in but it's the juciest chicken I think I've ever had."... The catfishwas probably the thing I was looking forward to the most, which was delicious but I actually enjoyed the other dishesbetter....All the sides are great. My fiance and I are both from near the Louisiana border and we could never find food in San Antonio that was anything like back... home. Tony G's definitely fit the bill. We both got fried chicken with black-eyed peas, collard greens, fried cabbage, Mac andcheese and corn bread. Everything was amazing. Fried chicken had the perfect flavor and crunch. Most everything was seasonedwell. Usually when you find fried cabbage it's over cooked but this was perfect with a bit of a crunch. The cornbread was thebest I've ever had at a restaurant. Our server Sunny was also amazing. She knew exactly when to come to the table, and she keptus stocked despite being busy. As soon as I walked in I felt the energy of family. The soulful music from the band ran through my body and brought me joy. I... enjoyed the all you can eat buffet with breakfast and lunch options. My favorite was the Mac & cheese and dressing. You get somany food options, deserts, salad, and they have mimosas!!!
