I love Taco Cabana and always order bean and cheese tacos but every time I come to this location (3 times in the last 2 weeks)... the beans have been so gritty, undercooked and not smashed properly and I end up throwing them away. I have had the best experiences at the Taco Cabana on San Pedro & Hildebrand. Tonight was the worst. The employee at the window... wasn't friendly at all, my order was wrong, there was another employee cursing about people. I got my bag and had to ask for thedrink. Horrible experience tonight. Not like any other Taco Cabana I've gone to. Restroom is outside behind the building and it's a 3x3 stall meant for a child and... not a full grown adult. Our order was just sitting at the counter without being notified that it was ready. Salsa bar lookedquestionable as did the staff. Eventhough this was the very first Taco Cabana, I would recommend going to a more updated one.Parking is minimal for this restaurant. Read more
Today and the last 5 times in the past couple of weeks that I've ordered from this Taco Cabana on San Pedro, I ask for their new... advertised Jalapeno Salsa (I circled it in the photo) and they always give me the one in the other photo. They're obviouslydifferent. I even showed them the picture when I asked for their new advertised Jalapeno Salsa and she said "this is the one". Itold her that it wasn't because I've gotten the new Jalapeno Salsa from the Taco Cabana on Culebra. Culebra's food is alsobetter in quality. I wish this Taco Cabana can just say that they don't have the new salsa. I would understand but they insistthat these two salsas in the pics I uploaded are the same. Great food, great service, they even serve beer and shots of Tito's. Thank you so much Alexander for being awesome. The reason... for the 4 stars is the inconvenient placement of the bathrooms. For the men's room you have to exit the store and walk aroundback to a tiny storage closet like mens room. They should think of making a small addition for better restrooms. My daughter and I were traveling from NC to TX and my brother said that this was a good place to eat. We went there and found... that the prices were a little higher than fast food, yet the quality was pretty close to authentic. We got the massive nachosfor $10 and it fed four people easily. I would highly suggest this restaurant. Read more
