Friendly staff and lots of seats..Tried Brisket fatty nice bark good .St l ribs clean bite smokey very good.Turkey tender wanted... more rub on it good.Sides potatoes n green beans very simple very lite season ,cream corn odd or unique but good rue ? like acheese sauce not sweet or salty just different .the bbq sauce its ok. On the BBQ ( brisket, pork, turkey & chicken) I would give it a solid 4.5 starts. Good place to get a fast BBQ lunch, it?s not... old fashioned Texas style BBQ but it does have a good flavoring and good portions for the price. On breakfast tacos only 2stars, tacos are small, about 1/2 the portions of what you would expect from a $2.40 taco & no flavoring. Read more
Brisket was a fail. Got their dinner for take out. Food came out fast but wasn't hot and the brisket was seriously lacking... flavor. The sausage and sides were good, but I was very disappointed in the brisket. HEB does it better than this. Will not beback. Read more
Brisket was awesome... slightly marbled and tender/juicy. Bought out the last 6 ribs that were slightly dry but had good... flavor/great rub. Sauce is good and cream corn quite tasty. Wish they had cornbread instead of white bread, but that may justbe a Texas thing. Read more
Awesome business and even better employees. We live out of town and ordered Smokey?s from the grub hub app for close family... friends that had just lost a loved one in their family. We ran into issues with grub hub and our order eventually got cancelledafter three pushed back delivery times . It took some time and we had to reorder through Smokey?s. The process went seamlesslyonline and when I called the store to verify the order, I was greeted with a very professional staff member. I was alsocontacted by a District Manager and had an awesome experience. Thank you Chad and to the staff of the Bulverde Road location. And next time we are in town, we are definitely customers!! I got the two meat plate with mac & cheese and potato chips. I requested lean brisket and turkey. They were able to give me lean... brisket, but was told that they were out of turkey (at that point it was around 7:30 pm). I was offered other meat choices toget instead of the turkey, and I chose the jalapeño sausage. I would highly recommend you trying it, it may have even beenbetter than the turkey I ordered. Now I?m rating this five stars, because the experience tonight was five stars. In the pasthowever, the employees at the front had been less than ideal with customer service. Never rude, but flat. For someone who workspart-time and hourly in the service industry, I understand it?s not always exciting or fun, but it?s nice when someone takespride in their work and has hospitality for the customer. This time, everything was easy, nothing was forgotten in the bag, andthe young lady who helped me had great customer service.
