I don’t like sea food usually and I was on a good tour so I only had appetizers here but they were really good. The best, most... creamy deviled eggs you can imagine, fresh hot fried oysters and spicy Tabasco dip, crispy potato chips with a smoked trouthummus type dip. The dining room is tiny but there is an outdoor, fenced off play area nearly 3 times the size of the building.The gates a little tricky to get into, don’t wear sandals, you’ll end up with gravel in your toes. Great oysters and similar offerings. Go during happy hour for great drinks. Lots of outdoor seating and there is a play... structure for kids. Shuck Shack had its own parking lot too nothing on Grayson does so that is huge. They also put up a screenand show some of the Spurs games and stuff outside too! Read more
We dined here with our little ones when we were visiting San Antonio on a work/family trip. We liked that they had the outdoor... space for kids. However, the music was loud and of bad taste and the food took a long time to arrive. The portions are small andtheir whole menu is over priced. I was not impressed by the taste in their food. The oysters were too salty. I left that placenot convinced about the food menu. It was like if I had had appetizers for dinner and spent so much for it. Read more
The shack part is definitely accurate. They were understaffed on a Saturday evening, not sure if it's always like that. We were... seated inside, not at the bar, yet the bartender was forced to be our server. This is completely unfair to her, and other staffhelped as they could but we were not a priority for them. Food was not bad, however definitely on higher end of the price pointfor what you get. I'd say, go with low expectations and you should be fine! Read more
Fantastic place!! Food is exceptional! Great little drink menu. Lobster and oysters are to die for. Neat like hole in the wall... joint! I will be back when we visit San Antonio again! BTW ran into Jason while we were there, very nice guy. Read more
