Reviews for Shisha Cafe in San Antonio, TX
With how busy and short staffed they were I?m extremely impressed with how the staff handled it. The place was packed yet the... servers made sure to check on every table as fast as they can with a smile. The presentation of the food was beautiful anddelicious. Their hookah is extremely good and the place was super cute! Made the drive from Dallas to this place worth it! Read more

Let me tell you...the food here is so delicious... you can see your meat cooking on the grill... the bread is amazing, fresh and... hot. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is they need to add a couple of more servers. The servers they have are great andfriendly but I felt if they had 1 or 2 more to help out, then there would be consistency. The 2 working now are great but itgets busy..and from experience it can get a little overwhelming for a server... anyways you have a loyal customer thank you foryour amazing food Read more

Definitely try this place! It was one of those rare exceptional places. The offerings with the different spices and sauces... leave you savoring the flavors as you lean back and your eyes roll to the sky with delight. We ate the food before I rememberedto take pics. But I took some of the outdoor seating area we sat in. It was perfect outdoor dining. Read more
We Ordered 3 Order. One was a mixed kebab, and the 2nd was a ground beef kebab, 3rd one was ground beef kebab with fries , 1st... one came with hummus and another order with a small amount of garlic sauce. We requested that can we get a little more garlicsauce and the lady who was serving us said they have to charge for the garlic sauce! Where as we spent about $ 60 dollars withtips. If they could serve the courtesy garlic sauce that day, they would definitely bring us back to their restaurant again!Sorry for your unprofessional service. CUSTOMER SERVICE is very important!!! I was in search for a restaurant with Lebanese food and outdoor dining yesterday and found Shisha Cafe. They have an expansive... covered outdoor area. I had only quickly scanned the listing when I first found it online and had known that this is moreIraqi-style Mediterranean cuisine. I started out with the rainbow smoothie which was fresh watermelon, banana and mango juices. So refreshing! My husband had the melon juice which was from a honey dew melon. The Mix Dip Plate was a great sampler plate withHummus, Baba Ghanouj, Iraqi Eggplant Salad, Jajeek and Labneh but I wanted to try Toom and changed out the Labneh for it. Aftertrying this food, I feel that all the other Mediterranean food I had before didn?t seem as authentic or flavorful as this. MyLebanese mentor used to make Jajeek and this tasted just like her homemade version! I was a little worried with more food tocome because I was semi-full already with the Mix Dip Plate. I had ordered the Lamb Tikka sandwich and my husband ordered theChargrilled Chicken. He really wanted to try the Grilled Fish (Iraqi Magoof) but need a 3-hour notice on that one. I had a biteof the Lamb Tikka and it was tender and such flavor! It was not small at all as I had expected. More food to enjoy later. Myhusband enjoyed the Chargrilled Chicken but it was slightly on the dry side. I had the chicken skin so that was tasty. I savesome room to taste test their desserts so we tried the Baklava, Basbousa (coconut cake), and Halawa Dihiniyya (Iraqi fudge).Everything was delicious! The Baklava was so flaky. There was so much dessert that we ended up taking the rest home too. Werealized after the fact that we should?ve ordered tea to go with our desserts. Next time! Erica was a great server whopatiently answered all my questions! This place is the real deal and is the best kept secret for authentic Mediterranean food!Shisha Cafe is also known for their hookah. Kababchi Grill next door is the same food, indoor seating only and Read more
