Reviews for Shifu Noodle in San Antonio, TX
Was disappointed in this restaurant. Although the Chicken Curry looks great it lacked flavor. I asked the server for extra... Curry sauce to add some taste to the dish but was told it was not possible. Instead I had to use salt packets to add flavor tothe dry tasteless chicken. I never had to add salt before to a dish, but to make the dish enjoyable I had to. No kids menu, andcan not substitute fried rice for white rice. Unaccommodating and not worth the price. The atmosphere is nice and relaxed, the staff were super friendly and fast. The drinks and food came out quick. The brisket soup... was amazing. The spicy, crunchy chicken was good but the classic orange chicken tasted old like it wasn?t recently fried justwarmed up and it was really tough and hard to chew. They sell trinkets which are really cute as well at the register. I would goback but I wouldn?t order the orange chicken ever again. Read more
We really liked our experience at Shifu Noodle. The appetizers (chicken dumpling, cold noodles, and crushed cucumber) came out... quick. Everything was seasoned nicely and tasted fresh! I got the vegetables with rice noodles, a hearty dish with a pepperflavored broth and plenty of cabbage. Great choice for vegetarians! It was a lot of food, too. My spouse (who is not much of aspicy food eater) got the chicken lo mein and was more than satisfied. Service was fantastic and we thought everything was wellworth the price. So happy to have this restaurant in the neighborhood! Read more
Service was very good and attentive. Food was good but a little misleading... We had - Crispy Dumplings - Very Good Spicy... Noodle - Very Good. The spice level was enough to get things 'running' but not overpowering of the broth and other flavors.(egg noodles, bok choy, green onions, minced beef, preserved mustard greens, SPICY, serve in broth) Fresh Mushroom Noodle -Fair. With a name of 'Mushroom Noodle' the expectation is that there would be a decent amount of mushrooms. However, thereseemed to be more chicken than mushroom and it tasted like a decent Chicken Noodle Soup. Really good for chicken noodle soupbut not for Mushroom Noodle. (egg noodles, chicken white meat, king trumpet mushroom, fried egg slices, green onions, NOT spicy, serve in broth) No real complaints just observations. We will come back and try other dishes. Clean restaurant, quick service, little wait time for food to be served. We ordered the pork noodles, curry chicken and the... brisket noodles...all were delicious. The waitress kepted up with our water and frequently asked if everything was ok or ifanything else was needed. I highly recommend and will be back soon. Read more

The pork belly was incredible!! They don?t open until 3:30 so don?t try to go there for lunch. The waiter was very friendly and... the service was great. Someone else at my table did wish there would have been more brisket in his dish. The hot tea was alsovery nice. I would highly recommend you check out this place for dinner. Read more
Great discovery on the SE Side of San Antonio?. 1st time dining here, very attentive staff. I ordered the Spicy Wonton Soup to... start off, the soup was very flavorful, not over the top heat level, just the right amount of heat to enjoy all the flavors, thewontons are generous about 10 to the soup, highly recommend to those with a craving for great flavor and right amount of heat. Ifollowed the soup with Spicy Garlic Chicken, very flavorful, lots of Woodear Mushrooms, bamboo shoots and carrots. Generousportions! Anticipating my next visit to further explore the other dishes.
