Food was fine. Service and competence of short-handed staff tested my patience to its limits as they had me waiting 40 minutes... for two chicken sandwiches I'd ordered on the way over, for pickup. I normally love Popeyes at this location but man, my husband and I arrived today at 10:15pm with 45 mins left to close and the... menu outside was closed/lights were switched off. When we spoke to the cashier they said they only had chicken left and no otheroptions. We had to wait 15 minutes to get out of the line because they took that long to speak with 1 customer. Well, service was lacking. We first went to the location on Bulverde rd. We were in the drive thru, the only car. Took the... employee a few minutes to acknowledge us. When he said he'd been with us in a few minutes. We waited, waited some more andnothing. 5 minutes later, we drove off. Went to the location on 281 and Evans. Quick service, even got our military discount. We ordered red beans and rice as our side with the family pack. Get home to fund its mashed potatoes and gravy. Yep, even receipt says red beans and rice. Mind you, both locations had less than 5 cars in the parking lot. I don'tunderstand the lack of customer service in a customer service based business. This place gives old chicken too often. Went from being a hit or miss, to a big miss. I'm throwing away the food for the 3rd... time in a row from this location. AND they know the chicken is old and dry because they will put a decent piece on top to hidethe rest of the garbage. Read more

Went in for chicken this evening and I'll tell you what the environment was just incredible. I've never seen this store so... packed. I wasn't going to come back after my last experience but I was very pleased with my service and the food I received .Great job popeyes you've won back this customer. Horrible customer service!!!! I understand being short staffed. I work at an ER and we have experienced short staff but I will... never be rude to my patients for this reason. I felt my hunger inconvenienced the staff as I was rushed through my order at thespeaker. When I attempted to order the actual drink I wanted for my kid at the window, I was given attitude. Trust that I willnever return to Popeyes! Their attitudes ruined my lunch! Read more

Employees didn't seem to friendly. Ordered shrimp and chicken tenders. Shrimp was fried to hard even though you received a nice... amount of popcorn shrimp. Even biscuit was dry. I used to enjoy their biscuits. However, I enjoyed the rice and beans served asa side order. Kind of disappointed especially on National Chicken Day. That's why I went to eat there. Read more
