I like this place. It kind of reminds me of the Chinese food places from the early 90s. They have the sauces in the little clear... plastic containers with the tiny spoons. I recommend the egg foo yong. You will not leave hungry. Get three giant egg pattiesand go for the combination or house or whatever it?s called. But it has all the meats in it. You get an order of fried rice withit as well. I think the fried rice could use a little bit of help. They used to have pretty good lunch specials. And I thinkwith the new ownership they may have gone up just a small amount but nothing too outrageous. I think one of the best valueshere is the soups. For a buck more you get a giant soup that could probably be a meal. I have the Mushu pork here and it wasnot bad. It was actually my first time having Mushu pork so I don?t really have a benchmark but I was not disappointed. Theformer crew were a bunch of characters. There was an apathetic Chinese lady that a lot of people seem to complain about but Ireally liked her demeanor. There was also the older Asian man who would take the orders on the phone and ring up the occasionalcheck. None of these people would be mistaken for being courteous. The food is really very good. I am told by my Chinese friends that it is very similar in quality to their food in China.
Hot and sour soup and fried rice. Taste good and affordable price! Will come back Soon, love it
Nice, very extensive menu with lots of goodies to eat. Generous portions. Fried rice is kind of bland. Soup is good, vegetables... all crisp and fresh. I would eat there again. Read more
I've been coming here for past 2-3 yrs specifically for the pecking duck (I know they were closed for a long time due to the... covid, but even before that). I loved how they serve it as a full entree, included soup and fried rice. I ordered countlesstimes for take out and today I am so disappointed with the quality. First of all, the buns were dried. I don't know why theyeven put this bun in, it would have been ok with missing one bun(I am not even sure how many pieces supposed to come with). I amok with this, but the sliced green onion was not acceptable. There was a mold on the green onion and I don't understand how thiscan happened. It seems like they used the old last batch of the prepared green onion since it was dried. But how old it needs tohave the mold? I had to inspect entire order just make sure everything else was ok, and I found the legs of cockroche on thebuns. The flavor has been changed, plain no flavor fried rice, so on. Food was very bland no seasoning or flavor... and chicken not cooked all the way highly disappointed and hope others see this review. I ordered shrimp and scallops in garlic sauce and fried dumplings to be delivered to me. It was fantastic!! Everything cooked to... perfection! Generous portions as well. I have been getting delivery for 2 years and have never received anything that wasn?tdelicious!! I have also been trying dishes I wouldn?t normally try and have been happy with all of it.
