The meal I ordered came with grits, only I didn't get grits at all. I asked for cheesy eggs, didn't get that either. The food... was bland, the best part of the meal was the Kool aid. Looks are deceiving, looks good but taste the opposite. Read more

I had been wanting chicken and waffles for awhile. Decided to give this place a try. Loved it!! Waitress was courteous. Brought... our drinks. She brought us sweet corn bread. It was awesome!! Tried the green fried tomatoes. Crispy and delicious. The friedchicken was hot and super crispy and the waffles were super tasty. Butter melted right off the waffles. Hubby had the Phillycheese steak sandwich and waffle fries. Was hot off the grill...super tasty. Fries were crispy and hot. Great seasoning. Woulddefinitely go back and try other menu items. Price was just right for the large portions. Read more

Delicious!!! We had blueberry waffles, scrambled eggs, and fried chicken. Portions were ample and I needed a to-go. If you... order the Mr. C Sampler make sure you have a huge appetite! Read more

The fried catfish is excellent from texture to seasoning waffle fries as well. We tried the raspberry pork chops which... surprisingly work well together. The candied yams wasn't quite right though like they boiled them then tried to sear themquickly but forgot the sugar or something, the sweet corn tasted sweeter. The macaroni was okay it tasted like they used sharpcheddar and was a little dry (if possible try to eat it with bacon), the cabbage with bacon was done right though. The wafflesweren't great though it's big and smells sweet but it's just a pancake shaped like a soft waffle. Cornbread was delicious thoughand I liked that they served the drinks in a Mason jar. It was hella cold in the restaurant though it made the food get coldquickly and my mom had to even wear a blanket just to stay eating here LOL. Read more

Worst food experience in a long while. I don't normally bother leaving reviews but this was just so bad. Ordered Fried Chicken... Steak and Smothered Pork Chop with Fries, Corn, Coleslaw and Mc and Cheese for takeout. Off the bat, the chicken and fries weremissing, instead I got a fried beef steak or something. The coleslaw had bubbles and was SPOILED. I took small taste and it wasdefinitely spoiled. Corn tasted funny so I threw it as well. On the ok side. The pork chop was large and tasted ok. If itwasn't out of the way for us, I would have come back to complain. Read more

First of all, let me say WOW!!! The best fried chicken I've ever tasted was in North Carolina and this place rivals that!! The... mac n cheese is delicious! You MUST try the fried green tomatoes!!! Corn bread was the best I've ever tasted and the friedchicken was flavorful and like a crispy blessing straight from heaven! This is the kinda place you want to go eat at with yourfamily right after church on a Sunday. Customer service was friendly as well. Will definitely come here more often and try outother menu items. Oh and the prices are extremely reasonably for what you get. Read more

Service was slow but signs on the door and hostess (who was pulling triple duty to get people seated, food out and tables... bussed) warned of that before we came in so it was our call to go inside and order anyway. I found the prices were reasonable-more so than I expected given ambiance, food quality and menu options. They brought appetizers and entrées out as they weremade, due to understaffing delays. This is preferred in my opinion, in this temporary circumstance because it means each of usgot our meal warm plus ample opportunity to sample what the other ordered. Cornbread was a tad dry but flavor was great - nottoo sweet, not too bland. Deviled eggs were great! Loved the way they seasoned and piped in the filling. Monte cristo was doneproperly - truly fried not just a sandwich made with French toast and SO good. The jelly/preserves they serve with were amazing!Asked for more for the biscuits. Love the ice and large mason jars they serve their drinks in (better than but similar to sonicice). Banana pudding was great and whipped cream seemed house made. Waffle cut fries are always a favorite of mine but thecountry potatoes beat them out at this restaurant - well cooked and seasoned. Atmosphere is very cute and the waitstaff werefriendly. Will absolutely go back again even if there are delays. Can?t wait to try lunch or dinner there and would repeatbrunch too. Once they get fully staffed again - it?ll be even more smashing than our first visit. Read more
