Great Soul & Caribbean food in San Antonio! I've been on the road for weeks and was exciting to find this place. The menu is... simple, some items aren't available everyday. They do dine in, take out, you can order over the phone and some delivery within alimited area is available. Some of the dishes have some nice spice to it as well! Read more

The food was hot and actually tasted like eating at someone's house. It was seasoned well and the portions were a good size. ... The greens had a few too many stems for me but they tasted good. Will definitely be going back. Read more

My husband and I wanted somewhere new to try for date night and we were NOT disappointed. The food was amazing. Hands down some... of the best seafood I've ever eaten. We shared the #6 seafood platter with the sweet potato casserole and the Mac & cheese assides. Never have had fried salmon before, and boy, was that life changing. The fried foods were not greasy at all. Breaded incorn meal, so really light and crunchy. The catfish was some of the cleanest I've ever had. Most times catfish has a distincttaste because it's a bottom feeder. But this tasted very different. They had a great atmosphere and the man who served us wasattentive to everyone in the dining room as well as those walking in for carryout. Gonna tell all my friends about this place.Highly recommend. Read more

I moved to San Antonio in 2020. I found out this year San Antonio was having Black Restaurant Week when my Aunt and Uncle were... coming into town. I asked a coworker who has lived in San Antonio her entire life which restaurant I should go to. She saidMomma Luv's Soul & Caribbean Food. We got to Momma Luv's at 6pm, they close at 7pm. Some of the items on the menu were alreadysold out so definitely go for lunch so you have the entire menu. Let me tell you, I ordered the catfish, my Aunt did too, and itwas AMAZING! The seasoning on the catfish was perfect, it was fried excellent. It was just AMAZING, reminded me of my Grandma'scatfish I would eat with grits when I was younger. My Uncle had the Salmon and Shrimp Special and my friend had the #6 MommaLuv's Seafood Platter. They both loved their food. The owner also gave us a side of wings and these were AMAZING as well. If youhaven't been, you won't be disappointed. Read more
