Reviews for Lupe Tortilla Mexican Restaurant in San Antonio, TX
This place seemed always busy so we were excited to finally try it. The decoration is fun and welcoming. Staff was nice when we... arrived. You can judge a restaurant quality by the chips, we should have known from that. The tips were okay. I had worse andbetter. The salsa and beans were pretty good. We got the guaca with bacon, and I don’t think it’s worth the extra $. It’sa odd combination but nonetheless fun to try. Service was decent, far from great. Our server ran by our table back and forth butdidn’t see to engage. The food took way too long considering it was not really busy. My husband’s salad that he ordered withno cheese came covered in cheese and soggy lettuce. My fajitas were strangely overly spicy and the mushrooms were not reallygrilled. It was all just “okay”. I wouldn’t go back. Read more
Food and service were both great. A chef came out to give us samples of the fajita (in the form of a mini fajita taco topped... with guacamole and pico de gallo) because our server told them it was our first time. I ordered the flautas and they weredelicious. Read more
Good Tex Mex, but could be better. I had the Shrimp Fajitas, and shrimp pablano enchiladas (Alacarte). The shrimp was a bit... over cooked, and the service was stretched thin and it was difficult to get service at the bar. The bartenders we veryfriendly, and obviously working as fast as they could, seems like they needed more help. Read more
Tried this place in San Antonio because I remember having some good times and good food at this restaurant. Their was a long... wait to get a seat and we went on a Wednesday night. Our drinks were pretty good. And the food was good as well. The only thingthat was not ok was that we had to wait a very long time to get the rice that have come out with our meals and then when it cameout it was not even cooked all the way, so gross. I do like the fact that the manager came out to let us know and he evenoffered us another side since the rice took forever. I'm happy the rice took forever because their salads are bomb I love thelime vinaigrette dressing and it was just so fresh. My husband and I would go back to this place again. Read more
I wanted to like this place but the food is just bland and basic. The tortilla chips were soggy..my enchiladas were completely... dry and had barely any sauce. It’s like they just rolled chicken in a dry tortilla then spooned a little sauce over it beforeserving it. Just not worth 15 bucks in my opinion. I’m giving three stars only because it’s decorated cute inside. Read more
Amazing. I thought I had already posted this review but man. The fajitas hit different in a good way. I thought it was just hype... of just average “good”…nope, it’s amazing! The enchiladas, beans, and rice were a high quality good and the surprisinglyexceptional appetizer were the ribs! Read more
Where do I start? The service and table attention is awesome! Got a chance to meet John (manager) and our server Daniel was so... great! The food is so good. Totally worth the price you pay at the end. Employees who aren't even your table attendant pass byand ask if you're doing okay. This place is a must to try for yourself. Thanks for an awesome experience here at yourestablishment! Read more
Flavor: A- Service: B Tea: A Solo dining: B There's quite a wait even at an off-peak time. The enchiladas are good with a light... chili-like sauce - just like I like it. The rice is not light and fluffy like I like it. My food took forever. The server andthe manager came by to apologize but also didn't do anything about it. My experience could've been a lot better with acomplimentary guacamole or queso while I waited all day. My server was very attentive, though, and I will certainly go back. Read more
