If you eally crave a good home cooked meal... this is it. Not fast food, not a buffet but cafeteria style setting. The food was... delicious, wholesome and at a reasonable price. Was highly impressed with the liver and onions 3 weeks ago, last 2 Sundays it was not on the serving line. I didn't feel... comfortable waiting 20 min for it to be ready for the serving line. I now question whether I will make the drive to bedisappointed again. My first visit was at 1130, second was at 1pm and today's visit was at 1115 hoping if we got here early itwould be fully stocked. Had lunch on a Wednesday, the line moved quickly and all servers and cashier were very friendly. Food was middle of the road,... so-so. Meatloaf, mashed potatoes, brown gravy were all lacking salt and were bland. Fried fish was pretty good, but againlacking salt. Tartar sauce, jalapeno cornbread, mac n cheese, and sweet potatoes were pretty good. Chocolate ice box pie wasvery rich and delicious, couldn't finish the slice. "Sweet" tea had almost no sugar and no tea flavor. Would be willing to giveit another try, but I would order something different next time. Read more
We went in thanksgiving. Maybe not the best day to go. The line was so long we decided to go through the drive through. We... ended up waiting over an hour. I get it?s not normally like this. I forgot to take photos of my food as we were very hungry. But I got the chicken fried chicken and it was delicious. They have the best white gravy I?ve ever had. Mashed potatoes andMac and cheese always on point. My husband order the steak chop but they were sold out so they gave him two orders of meatloafinstead. We got 3 plates to total and it was about $40. A little pricey but worth every penny. I?d go but be prepared to waitif it?s thanksgiving. Read more
