New to San Antonio and decided to go out for Thanksgiving this year. Luby's was suggested. Bit of a line out the door, but it... moved quickly. Cafeteria system is quick and efficient. Decent to large portions were served, couldn't finish my entire meal.Arrived at 2:30pm and by then they had already ran out of ham for the Thanksgiving special, which is understandable. The turkeywas good, as was the macaroni and cheese. Everything else was pretty average. The one thing that did bother me was that I servedmyself strawberry Fanta, but instead it dispensed Big Red, and for some reason it tasted dirty/dusty? I don't know if it was thesoda or the cup. Besides that, all good. Service was great, we had a tall gentleman attending to us and checking if we neededanything. The type of setting this restaurant is, it felt unnecessary, but I appreciated his attentiveness. Read more

The food here is great and they maintain it very clean. Lubys tea is better than Bill Miller's, by far! The restrooms could use... a lot more cleaning but it's understandable with the high volume of people during rush times. The manager at this location hasthe best customer service and the whole team there is a reflection of that. I suggest getting there about 15 mins before lunchtime during the weekdays and getting there early on Sundays. It gets pretty packed. Read more

Luby's is nothing short of amazing. Went in on a busy Saturday to only see some amazing deals on Texas sized chicken fried steak... for $11.99 and a whole fish platter for only $10.99. I chose the chicken fried steak and boy it did not disappoint. Like astarving child hungry for his first meal. I went to town on this Texas sized beauty, Luby's famous macaroni and mashed potatoes. The chicken fried steak was made to perfection with some amazing country gravy. Amazingly I finished it in one sitting que thefood coma of amazingness. The staff was amazing very attentative and brought us napkins and condiments at convenience. Notpictured was an amazing cheesecake slice with strawberry that I took home and enjoyed that evening.I would highly recommendtrying it for yourself when you on this side of town. 5+ Stars ???? ????
