I wish they had 3.5 starts because that's exactly the rating for this particular restaurant Pros: The service was... OUTSTANDING...once we were seated. Coming into the door, the greeting was slow in coming and when the lady finally walked overto us (she watched us come in the door but didn't come over right away) she seemed surly, bored, or maybe both. The young manthat seated us seemed distracted although there was hardly anyone other customers there. The young lady that waited on us(Veronica??) was absolutely wonderful. She was attentive, fun, and careful. What a delight! The food was solid. Really impressedwith the appetizers and sides. Queso with brisket had a good amount of brisket--they didn't skimp. Firecracker chicken wrapswere a pleasant surprise. I had asparagus as a side and they were perfectly cooked--I mean PERFECTLY; a tad crisp at the initialbite but soft immediately after. Rarely seen them cooked so well outside of "high end" steakhouses. Chicken was tender and juicyand both my ribeye and my wife's New York strip steak were medium rare, as requested. Cons: It was kind of dirty. Menus hadcheese droppings dried on them and partway through the meal, the kids noticed ants and spiders(!) running along the top of thebackrest on our booth. Read more

Like most other restaurants especially in the early evening hours we were told we'd have to wait an hour which ended up being... about 30 minutes. We were blessed enough to meet Miss Kristen which helped us get situated sit at a table that was not too busywith customer traffic, and immediately got our chips and queso and were able to enjoy a wonderful meal here at this Southsidelocation. What a wonderful time we had here together as a family. As we are not from this side of town we do frequent thisparticular Longhorn occasionally, and each time that we have we've had an awesome experience! Visited here for Valentines Day Dinner Date Night. My fiance arrived early to check in and waited at the bar for me. He... mentioned that the bartender lady didn't pay him much attention and kept forgetting the drink he ordered. When I arrived to therestaurant, I met him at the bar while still waiting for our table, to order a drink. The lady bartender saw me approach the bararea and sit down, but never asked me if I wanted anything to drink. She basically ignored us , and we were ready to spend moneyon shots and drinks. Anyway, we were called to our table for dinner, so we closed out our tab. For appetizer we ordered firecracker shrimp. It's fried shrimp with pepperoncini, jalapeño, and bell pepper slices. Very delish! For main entree, I orderedthe 6 Oz. Sirloin with loaded baked potatoe and citrus rice pilaf. I did ask for my steak to be cooked medium well and it comemedium rare. I had to send it back. My fiances steak was also not cooked correctly. It took an additional 30 min before we gotour entrees brought out to the table again. Overall we never have any issues here but I'm guessing because it was valentines dayand they were super busy they slacked on service. I will visit again because normally service and food is on point. So let's talk about my pictures first. The mac looks super dry. I was a bit disappointed when i saw it at first but... yooooooo...mix that up and it was all deliciousness!!! There was bacon in there! Ok ok it was my first time having it so iwasn't expecting it, not food i bother to read the description. I just wanted a little mac. Now the chicken....it was so tenderand juicy. Literally so full of flavor. Parmesan crusted chicken. My man usually gets a steak and after he tasted my chicken heordered that the next time we went. It was absolutely delicious. The bread they start you with is ok. It could have been warmerto melt the butter. But it was fine. We started with brisket queso and that was great. I love me some queso. The service....awesome. 30 minute wait. Nope. Make that an hour. Empty tables through out the restaurant. Oh. There's a backlog? Just have them wait... longer and stand. Great idea. Seating staff get one star. My work buddies and I were in the area and decided to go and eat at this one steak ???? house. I had been there several years... ago and had to walk out on there being no cook at the time. Well this time around was a completely different story. I orderedthe New York Strip steak ???? and the loaded baked potato ???? and a garden salad ????. My friends and I were completely blownaway. Also our server was Abbey. A very attentive young lady. She kept our drinks full and the bread ???? flowing. We had anawesome time and are definitely coming back.
