Drive-thru was very slow. However the employee was very friendly and apologized for the delay. Food was hot and fresh.
Long John Silver's is combined with A & W restaurant in this location. I got the 2 fish filets, chicken filet and shrimp... platter with coleslaw and two hush puppies for $11.99!!! The cashier asked me if I wanted some coconut shrimp for free! I said,yes I would. I topped my lunch off with a regular root beer float. I can remember back in the 80's how good long john silvers was. (for a semi-fast food place) We'll, now its kinda dirty and... ghetto. The Root beer on the A&W side is delicious. I ordered the 3 peice chicken, and the crust (which I've always loved)wasn't as crunchy as I remember it. The chicken itself when you bite into it wasn't that great either, it was bland and therewas just something about it that wasn't the same, back in the day. Also, no crust or batter crumbs???!!! I loved the battercrumbs that they USED to serve. I got none. Guess they did away with them. Anyway LJS is NO LONGER what I remember. But the rootbeer is delicious. Read more
My husband and I decided to finally give in to our LJS cravings and headed to this location. We have never felt more welcomed... anywhere than how the manager made us feel!! Food was fresh and hot and plenty of it!! Really enjoyed our dinner and willdefinitely be back!! Read more
When the hush puppies are almost as big as the chicken, someone is doing something wrong. *Disclaimer, my normal wonderful LJS... is on 410 and Marbach. They are always wonderful, the food is hot, and the pieces are generous.* I love LJS, but today I wasextremely disappointed in the quality of the food. See pics above. LJS is not cheap and there are not many in SA. So I don't getto go often. I have NEVER received pieces of chick this small until I went to the I-10 De Zavala location. 1 of them looks likea chicken nugget. How is this acceptable? How did the person preparing the food say, "Hmmm, I wonder if they will notice thechicken is a fourth of the size it normally is?" Well yeah, I did. Disappointed ????! I've been craving LJS for quite some time now & when we finally got some it was not made as it should have... been made?? good! The cashier was very friendly & pleasant. She explained that they were short handed tonight & if we still wantto order & we said, "yes." It was quite a wait but as long as our food was made fresh & good, it'll be worth it! To our surpriseit was hot & fresh! That's what the cashier said, it was. But the clams were overdone, shrimp stuck together, green beans onlyhalf of the small cup it came in on & still trying to understand why especially, we didn't mind waiting for a moment??? Customerservice & quality wasn't the best all the time but ever since this pandemic it'd become the worst! All that it seems to matternow to me, that it's all about the money & getting a paycheck. Even some of the higher price range restaurants like Zio's, theirservice & quality of food had become dollar menu qualities but the prices have increased dramatically & quantities some arekid's meal sizes!!! Not all of us are living off big bank accounts, most of us really do have to work for what we need & thensome. It would be great if we could just get what businesses promised & advertised to be good quality products & the rightquantities for our money. That should be the way. Read more
