Never Again????Worst Experience Ever???? Flies every where, you can't Eat in Peace????I had to talk to the Manager so I can let... him know about that huge opening by the Bar. I told him: If I wanted to eat Outside in 100 Degree Weather, I would of goneOutside. I want to eat inside the Restaurant in the AC, so why don't you close down that big opening by the Bar, so it can getCold in Here! It will also keep the flies, mosquito's, Bees etc. from coming inside. That would be wonderful enjoying my Dinnerwith out those Dirty Flies Landing on my plate. I WILL NEVER EVER COME HERE AGAIN! The chicken macho burrito is my go-to. Something about the gravy keeps me coming back for more. Absolutely enormous portions,... and a huge 20% (or was it 25%?) discount for military with ID. Love their service and support. Giant drink cup sizes, I?ve neverfound myself going hungry or thirsty when visiting Las Palapas. Definitely one of my top Mexican restaurants in San Antonio. Read more

I'm from out of town and enjoyed our visit here It's nice inside and they had live music. The menu had a good variety of dishes,... but we weren't that hungry so most of us just go nachos or queso. They aren't your typical loaded nachos. Each chip was layeredwith toppings along with crema & guac in the the middle. I believe that it is was the super nacho. My sister ordered a cocktail,something piña (I can't remember the name) & she said it was too strong for her (she's weak ????) so I got to have it. It wasgood! I could taste it the rum, which I like because it's doing the job. I was guessing this would be somewhat tex-mex mostlybecause I'm from DFW, but San Antonio knows better ????. They have so many great dishes, my favorite is stuffed avocado you can choose from chicken , beef or shrimp mmm flavorful.... Great lunch specials & happy hour. Tasty Margaritas. This location is unique to all the rest, it has a garage style Bar so youcan enjoy your drinks indoor or outdoor, colorful lights and heaters are in their patio. Service is spot on, staff is friendly,plenty of parking, safety measures, handicap accessibility. Read more
Horrible. Whoever is cooking food here hates having this job & doesn?t care in the least bit about being consistent with the way... food is prepared at other locations. When you get the food containers there are greasy hand prints, completely messy, & leaking. This has been the case the last 3 times I have ordered. This is the last order I got which I can say is consistently ashorrible as the last time. I ordered chicken puffy taco plate. It was a piece of chicken in a hard as a rock cardboard colorround shape thing that they believe is a puffy taco. I guess they want the customers to shred the chicken themselves & chip ourteeth on this alleged puffy taco material ? I?ve never seen this kind of puffy taco in my life. They don?t want to give salsaor tortillas with orders & if you ask for it , the attitude changes real quick. They get kind of mad like you?re stealingsomething from them ? I don?t know , it?s weird. Maybe that?s why they stick their hands in grease then manhandle the foodcontainers, I don?t know but this location is the absolute worst of all locations and they are not doing Las Palapas anyjustice. Very sad to see but will not ever go to Austin Hwy again. Walzam location is so much better, very pleasant customerservice and worth it even though it?s farther. Read more
