Reviews for KFC in San Antonio, TX
Did not have what I wanted. Got something else because I had already waited 15 minutes in the drive thru and there was no... exiting until you went through the entire line. Then the food was luke warm to say the least. Went back today 11/23 and againdidn't have what I wanted. Fortunately I was 1st in line at the drive through so I just canceled my order and left. Thisplace is a joke. Management needs to learn how to manage and run the business. Will not return. Read more
It took 30 minutes to get our food. Granite it was all fresh. But we got there at 4:45 so you'd think they would've been ready... for a sunday dinner rush. I guess they figured since we had to wait so long it better be fresh. I would suggest calling andordering ahead of time. Not a stop by and pickup place. Read more

Much cleaner than the others closer to town on Nacogdoches. The staff is more available, more attentive and more friendly. I... think I will blow by the others and do my business here. Read more
Let me start with the staff was actually very polite and friendly. Everyone spoke to me with respect and a pleasant attitude as... they did their best to explain things while still trying to accommodate us. Unfortunately their website or the info on theirwebsite is very misleading. I tried to order a deal I saw online that included an 8pc Chicken and 8 pc tenders with 3 largesides and biscuits for $30. I was informed even though it was still posted online, they no longer offer that deal. Ok, fine so Igot a similar deal with 12 pc chicken for $40. But when I asked how fresh was the chicken they said the original had been outabout 15 minutes and crispy about 30 / 40 minutes. We wanted crispy so I asked if I could just wait on fresh dropped chicken. But I was then told no, because the kitchen area had already shut down . That they shut it down at 8:15/8:30pm because theyclose at 10:00 and it was about 9:20pm. Although the website says they close at 11:00p.m. Turns out the Taco Bell is open until11:00 but the KFC is only open until 10:00. But as I said the website is misleading because it doesn't clarify that so weassumed they closed at 11:00. Anyway, the food was ok, not very fresh. I suggest if you plan on going to KFC for a late dinner, you don't go after 8:30 as the chicken will likely not be fresh and not taste so great. Better luck next time I guess. Read more
I thought Church?s Chicken was bad, and I thought there is no way KFC can be worse. The cashier Adriana, who I am sure hates... her job, and it shows with this order. How and the hell would I want two large coleslaw after I order a Large Mashed Potato?sw/ Gravy and Mac and Cheese from you not even one minute from when you handed me my cup to giving me my order. I should havechecked my order but I did not think it needed a rocket scientist to give me my correct order, but apparently it does andAdriana is not that person. I do not recommend this place to anyone. I do not even want to eat the chicken they gave me. It?s all going In the trash. I will take the $27.59 loss. Who knows what they did to it. Read more
Introduced to KFC at a restaurant in Cambridge OH in the early 60's. BEST CHICKEN EVER TASTED with its 11 herbs &... spices. Another restaurant, Earl Abels in San Antonio was one of KFC's first franchisees using the originalrecipe. We frequently, ate there with visiting family members in the 60s-70s. The chicken was always "Finger LickingGood." Becase of his advanced age Colonel Sanders sold his company to an investment firm in 1964. As a condition ofthe sell, he retained Quality Control of Product & the KFC Trademark. It made national news when ColonelSanders threatened to takeover Kentucky Fried Chicken from his buyers because he felt they were not meeting qualitycontrol standards. KFC has been under many ownerships and contantly changing menu selections, spokespersons &marketing strategies. Boneless chicken was a failure. Over time, we have eaten at various KFC restaurants. My impressions varied as to uniformity and quality. Today, I went to KFC on Nacogdoches Rd for a takeout order where KFC & Taco Bell are co-located. Both are owned by same company. Rather than using their drive thru window, wentinside to order. Cashier was friendly and told me what was available. Meal of 2 pieces of chicken, 2 sides & a biscuitwas $5.89. Ordered two meals which were filled quickly. The chicken was extra tender (from pressurized cooking),juicey, and delicious. Quite sure the chicken was not seasoned with original recipe but it was very tasty. Both sideorders of mashed potatoes and corn were good. My wife thought their cold slaw was also deserving of an A+. Neither ofus was fond of their biscuit. It was ordinary, lacked flavor or anything else to set it apart.0 Read more
Placed a mobile order for pickup at 6pm, checked in at 5:55pm, I was told I am early but pull around the building and they'll... bring it out. Sat for over 30 minutes and watched about 7 or 8 cars that ordered at the drive thru, parked in the same area, andget their food brought out before I went inside to ask what the status of my order is. The counter employee grabbed a bag thathad been sitting on the counter since before I walked in and waited in line, that was our order and had sat for who knows howlong. They gave us fresh sides to go with our cold chicken. Thanks! Read more
